As you know Maserati has been in trouble for several years, with declining sales and an increasingly discreet presence in the luxury market. However, the Italian brand is finally preparing to unveil a new "more structured and punchy" product plan in the words of Jean-Philippe Imparato, the new CEO of Stellantis Europe.
Maserati deserves a plan of its own
Jean-Philippe Imparato is no stranger to the automotive sector, having headed up Alfa Romeo, confirmed that Maserati deserved a plan of its own. The new plan is in the hands of Santo Ficili, the latest from Maserati and Alfa Romeo in recent months. At the Paris Motor Show, Ficili set out his initial guidelines for the future of Maserati, stressing that the importance of the brand's return to the luxury segment. "Maserati needs to get back to where it deserves to be: in luxury," he declared.
Maserati's current situation continues to give cause for concern
The end of production of iconic models such as the Ghibli, Quattroporte and Levante left a gap in the range. Although the MC20 is the brand's flagship model, it has not been enough to revive sales. In 2024, Maserati continues to fight with negative financial results and many concessions closedparticularly in France. The brand is in deficit, a situation that is no longer viable in the long term.
Marketing was another area where Ficili recognized the need for a turnaround.. According to him, "if marketing fails, sales and economic results follow". Work on positioning, pricing and dealer engagement seems to be on the agenda to revitalize Maserati.

Maserati hat den Fehler begangen nicht Elektrifiziert zu haben, wie sie es eigentlich wollten. Jetzt ist es reichlich spät. Es ist doch klar ,dass es ein Elektroconzept ca 800Ps allrad, automat, grosse Batterie, usw. geben. Der Innenraum sollte aufgeräumt sein und wenig Chichi haben. Edele Materialien, hochwertige Handarbeit, gute Ideen braucht es. Die Carosserie sollte ein Namhafter Designer gewählt werden, für 5 Leute reichlich Platz bieten und einen grossen Kofferaum haben. Eine schnittige Form haben.
