Aggressive, high-performance design

The Maserati MC20 GT2Stradale is distinguished by marked aerodynamic improvements. Forged wheels with a central nut and carbon-ceramic brakes complete this aesthetic and functional transformation.

The car's interior is no exception. A new racing steering wheel, alcantara upholstery and racing seats with carbon monocoque reinforce the impression of sportiness and luxury.

High-flying performance

Under the hood, the MC20 GT2 Stradale is powered by a Nettuno V6 engine delivering 640 hp and 730 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 325 km/h. Weighing in at just 1475 kg, this supercar boasts an optimal power-to-weight ratio.

The rear spoiler provides an aerodynamic downforce of 500 kg at 280 km/h, far surpassing the 80 kg of the standard MC20 and even the 420 kg of the Lamborghini Huracan STO. These features make the MC20 GT2 Stradale a formidable competitor on the racetrack.

A distinctive range of colors

Maserati offers the MC20 GT2 Stradale in a variety of colors: black, two-tone white/black, two-tone blue/black and two-tone yellow/black. This diversity allows future owners to choose a version that reflects their personality, while benefiting from the car's exceptional performance.

Italian rival in the sights

The MC20 GT2 Stradale is positioned against renowned competitors such as the Lamborghini Huracan STO, Porsche 911 GT3 and Ferrari 488 Pista. By targeting supercar owners who want a road-legal car that can also shine on the track, Maserati has hit the nail on the head.

A promising product strategy

With this GT2 Stradale, Maserati is demonstrating a clear strategy of model variation, as Lamborghini has done over the last ten years. After the MC20, the MC20 Cielo and the MCXtremaThis new road-approved version could be a great success. Unlike the non-homologated GT2 and MCXtrema, the GT2 Stradale offers seductive versatility.

Maserati is also banking on the exclusivity of this model. Production will be limited, in stark contrast to the 10,000 Porsche 911 GT3s, 4,500 Ferrari 488 Pistas and 3,500 Lamborghini Huracan STOs already on the market. Whether this rarity is deliberate or self-imposed remains to be seen... In the end, there's only one piece of information missing: the price! Let's hope the brand isn't too greedy. The Huracan STO is around €400,000, a Porsche 911 GT3 from €200,000, the MC20 GT2 Stradale somewhere in between.

With the MC20 GT2 Stradale, Maserati is heading in the right direction. By diversifying its offering while maintaining top-level quality and performance, the trident brand will be able to appeal to supercar enthusiasts.

  1. For image, the Maserati MC 20 GT2 Stradale is great. Competing with the Lamborghini Huracan STO, or the Ferrari 488 Pista, or the Porsche GT3 is great.
On the other hand, it won't add much volume.
But Maserati is right to enter this niche, instead of trying to go all-electric with the Folgore models.
