There are some creations that defy all logic, like this Lazareth Wazuma V8M. Half motorcycle, half car, with a design that looks like something out of a science-fiction movie, this French machine hides an Italian 100 % engine under its bodywork: the naturally aspirated 4.7-liter V8 from Maserati. And here's some good news for fans of one-of-a-kind cars: one such model is currently up for sale.
A French creation powered by a Maserati V8
Designed by Ludovic Lazareth, the Wazuma V8M was never intended for mass production. The goal was to push the boundaries of motorcycle design by incorporating an engine normally reserved for an Italian sports car. The result: a 4.7L Maserati V8 producing 460 ch and 520 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.

The engine is housed in a structure made largely of carbon fiber, while the interior combines leather and Alcantara. Weighing in at 855 kg, with four wheels, hydraulic power steering, and independent front suspension, the Wazuma V8M was designed to harness the V8’s power while remaining street-legal.

Its style leaves no one indifferent. The Maserati engine is on display like a work of mechanical art, and the imposing side radiators immediately remind you that this car was built around its engine.
A copy in like-new condition is for sale
First spotted on the used car market in 2021, the Wazuma V8M is now making a comeback with a new listing posted in July 2026. This particular vehicle, registered in December 2019, has only 1,000 kilometers on the odometer and is listed for 144,000 euros.

The seller emphasizes its near-new condition, its reliability, and the fact that no maintenance is required, and specifies that it is a road-legal vehicle. Even more surprising, he claims that only two such vehicles exist in the world. This claim differs from what was stated a few years ago: during a previous listing, it was mentioned that four units had been built, while Lazareth had initially announced an extremely limited production run. In any case, the Wazuma V8M remains one of the most exclusive machines ever produced.
When it first went on sale, the Lazareth was priced at 110,000 euros before tax, which already placed it in the supercar category. Today, with an asking price of 144,000 euros, this Wazuma V8M costs nearly as much as a new Maserati. In both cases, there’s a Maserati engine under the hood… or rather, under the handlebars. Except that here, it’s impossible to go unnoticed. Between its naturally aspirated V8, its spectacular design, and its limited production run, the Wazuma V8M remains one of the most unusual ways to ride with a Maserati engine.
