The new Fiat Quattrolino is coming soon... and you'll see it everywhere at this price!

At the Stellantis Investor Day a few weeks ago, Fiat has confirmed the arrival of a new model in its range: the Quattrolino. Presented as a logical evolution of the Topolino, this small electric four-seater could well become one of the most important Fiat cars of the next decade.

While the Italian brand is still keeping tight-lipped about technical details, a few elements unveiled by Stellantis already allow us to sketch out its launch schedule and future price positioning.

A Topolino that thinks bigger

With the Topolino, Fiat has succeeded in winning over urban customers looking for a simple, economical and accessible mobility solution. But its main shortcoming remains obvious: it offers only two seats and remains above all a light quadricycle designed for very specific use.

The Quattrolino aims to rectify this limitation. As its name suggests, it will offer four seats and should retain a minimalist philosophy inspired by the popular little Fiat cars that have marked several generations of European motorists.

Initial reports suggest an extremely compact vehicle, but one capable of accommodating four occupants in considerably more comfortable conditions than the Topolino. Stellantis is also said to have worked on a more generous trunk, to make it a real everyday car for urban and suburban journeys. The aim is clear: to offer a credible alternative to traditional electric city cars, whose prices are constantly rising.

Inspiration from the Citroën ELO concept

The Quattrolino is based on the philosophy of the Citroën ELO concept, an urban vehicle project presented at the end of 2025, but particularly simplified by Fiat.

For the Quattrolino, the idea is to reduce the number of parts as much as possible, keep the weight down and use a modular design to significantly cut production costs. This approach would not only result in a vehicle that's cheaper to manufacture, but also more affordable to buy and run. In this way, Fiat seems to be returning to the spirit of the models that have built its success: simple, accessible cars designed above all to meet practical needs. A recipe reminiscent of the original Fiat 500, Panda or Seicento.

Release date becoming clearer

During the presentation of the «faSTLAne 2030» strategy, Stellantis showed a first simplified illustration of the Quattrolino, without however communicating an official timetable.

Some media reports suggest an arrival as early as late 2026 or early 2027. But if we look closely at the roadmap unveiled by the group, such an early launch seems unlikely. The latest elements communicated by Stellantis place this project in the second part of Fiat's product plan. This leads us more towards a launch in late 2027, or even early 2028. This period would also coincide with the acceleration of the Group's European program of affordable electric vehicles.

Its price

This is probably the most interesting piece of information about this future Fiat. Although no official price has yet been announced, a number of clues already give a fairly precise idea of the Quattrolino's positioning.

The Fiat Topolino is currently sold for less than €10,000. The future model, larger, more versatile and able to accommodate four people, will naturally be priced higher. Yet the whole point of the project is to create an extremely affordable electric car. At this stage, a starting price of just under €15,000 seems credible, which would make the Quattrolino one of the cheapest electric cars on the European market.

Produced in Morocco with the Topolino?

Another question remains: where will this future Quattrolino be manufactured? Stellantis recently confirmed the arrival of new «E-Car» models at the Pomigliano d'Arco plant in Italy from 2028.

However, another scenario now seems more coherent. The Fiat Topolino is already produced at the Stellantis plant in Kénitra, Morocco, alongside the group's other micro electric vehicles such as the Citroën Ami and Opel Rocks. Given the Quattrolino's highly affordable positioning, it would be logical for Stellantis to once again rely on this industrial site, which already specializes in this type of low-cost production vehicle. The Moroccan option therefore seems the most likely.

The most important Fiat of the next few years?

Beyond its technical features, the Quattrolino could play a major strategic role for Fiat. At a time when the European market is clamoring for more affordable electric cars, the Italian brand seems keen to get back to what it does best: offering simple, practical cars that are accessible to as many people as possible.

If Fiat can deliver on its promise of an electric four-seater for under €15,000, the Quattrolino could well become the spiritual heir to the Panda and Seicento that have marked the brand's history. An unpretentious little car, but potentially capable of meeting a real need in the European market.
