They usually work on Ferraris, except that their finest creations are Fiat Topolinos

It's easier to imagine automotive customization specialists working on a Ferraria Lamborghini or a Porsche than on a small electric quadricycle limited to 45 km/h. Yet in Egypt, the Fiat Topolino has become a veritable playground for MRP (Modify, Restore & Protect). And some of his works might well be among the most beautiful Fiat Topolino that we've seen so far.

Based in New Cairo, MRP Egypt specializes in modifying, restoring, and protecting cars. Its workshops usually see far more prestigious and powerful automobiles. But for some time now, a little Italian car seems to have carved out a special place for itself among these sports cars: the Fiat Topolino.

A Topolino ready for the race… at least visually

MRP’s latest creation was unveiled on a racetrack—the Autovrooom International Racing Track. Dubbed the «Fiat Topolino Racing Line,» it radically transforms the look of the small quadricycle. The new red Topolino pictured on the track features a design directly inspired by racing: white stripes, the number 177, Fiat lettering on the side skirts, and contrasting accents. With its small white rims and matching roof, the result almost resembles a tiny race car.

Of course, don’t expect to find any hidden mechanical engineering behind this design. The Topolino remains, first and foremost, an electric quadricycle designed for urban travel. Here, it’s all about style. MRP also announces several different configurations and personalities, all united under a single design signature.

In Egypt, the Topolino has become a luxury item

This Racing Line is far from MRP’s first collaboration with Fiat. In recent weeks, the Egyptian company has unveiled an entire collection of customized Topolinos, some of which have already been delivered to their owners. And the modifications can go far beyond a simple body color change. A midnight blue and black version, for example, features numerous gold accents, custom wheels, and a completely redesigned interior.

Elsewhere, we find Topolinos in pastel pink, light green, and even a striking black-and-champagne color combination. These choices transform this electric vehicle—which was originally extremely simple—into a true lifestyle accessory.

MRP even went so far as to create the one-of-a-kind model shown above for Amr Diab, a huge music star in the Arab world. The company presents this Topolino as a completely custom creation, crafted with special attention to materials and details. Even the minimalist dashboard features a small Marshall speaker whose colors blend seamlessly with the overall design.

After Turin, Cairo

This trend inevitably brings to mind what is currently happening in Italy. In Turin, the « Topolino Factory »ITA Innovation" also transforms Topolino cars manufactured in Morocco into special editions: Sporting, Carabinieri, or models inspired by the Italian seaside lifestyle.

Fiat Topolino Factory in Turin

But seeing this phenomenon take on such a large scale in Egypt is more unexpected. From Turin to New Cairo, the little Fiat seems to have found a new purpose. More than just a means of electric transportation, it has become a blank canvas for customizers.
