No roof, 1080 hp V12... this new Lamborghini Fenonemo Roadster is rarer and more expensive than a Ferrari

At Lamborghini, few-off“ models have always had a place of their own. Cars designed less to generate volume than to mark an era, push back the boundaries of design and remind the world of the Sant'Agata Bolognese brand's most extravagant creations. After the Reventón, Veneno or even Sián, Today, the Italian brand unveils a new, out-of-the-ordinary creation: the Fenomeno Roadster.

And the least we can say is that this Lamborghini doesn't do things by halves. With its 1,080 hp atmospheric V12 hybrid engine, fully convertible silhouette and limited production of just 15 units, the Fenomeno Roadster instantly becomes one of the most exclusive Lamborghinis ever produced.

An extreme Lamborghini, even by brand standards

The Fenomeno Roadster is based on the Fenomeno Coupé revealed at Monterey Car Week 2025, but takes the spectacular concept even further. Here, there's no retractable roof or removable panel: the cabin is totally open to the elements, like a real road-approved racing car.

Visually, Lamborghini has extensively reworked the aerodynamics to compensate for the absence of a roof. A spoiler integrated into the top of the windshield directs airflow over the occupants and towards the engine, while the new rear hood incorporates two aerodynamic humps that also act as roll bars. The aggressively shaped side windows also contribute to the aerodynamic effect, while visually lowering the car's height.

Despite this radical transformation, Lamborghini claims to have maintained the same level of downforce, stability and cooling as on the coupé. A feat made possible by extensive work on the aerodynamic surfaces and massive use of carbon fiber.

A 1080 hp V12 hybrid to celebrate 63 years of Lamborghini

Beneath this sculptural bodywork lies the most powerful engine ever installed in a Lamborghini convertible. The Fenomeno Roadster combines a 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 with three electric motors, for a total output of 1080 hp.

The V12 alone already develops 835 hp, proof that Lamborghini continues to defend this legendary architecture at all costs at a time when many manufacturers are switching to more compact engines. Two electric motors are fitted at the front, while a third is integrated into the eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The performance figures are, of course, breathtaking: 0 to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds and a top speed in excess of 340 km/h. These figures are almost identical to those of the coupé, despite the absence of a roof.

This Fenomeno Roadster also becomes the first Lamborghini convertible to use the new plug-in hybrid powertrain inaugurated by the Revuelto. Even before a hypothetical Revuelto Roadster or the future Temerario Spyder, Lamborghini offers its most privileged customers its ultimate vision of the electrified roadster.

Rarer than a Ferrari F80... and probably even more expensive

The comparison with Ferrari is inevitable. For while Ferrari markets its F80, Lamborghini responds with an even more exclusive machine. The Ferrari F80 799 units will be produced, with an estimated price of around $4 million. Only 15 units of the Fenomeno Roadster will be produced worldwide. As for the price, Lamborghini has not officially announced it, but several sources suggest a figure approaching $7 million.

Of course, the two hypercars are very different in their philosophy. The Ferrari F80 relies on a high-performance 1200hp hybrid V6 inspired by endurance racing, while the Lamborghini retains a more emotional atmospheric V12 combined with hybridization. The Ferrari is a technological coupe designed around absolute efficiency, while the Lamborghini plays the show card with a totally open-air experience.

But despite their contrasting approaches, these two models each represent the absolute pinnacle of their respective manufacturers. Technological and emotional showcases for a handful of ultra-rich collectors.
