Finally! After months of teasers, 3D renderings, and concept designs for future owners, the Venuum V40 has become a real car. The Dubai-based tuning firm has just released the first images of its completed project—and, most importantly, of it in motion on the road. This marks a major milestone for this spectacular modern reinterpretation of the Ferrari F40, based on a Ferrari SF90.
There is, however, a little surprise: in this new video, Venuum no longer refers to the «V40,» but to the V4X. Is this a permanent name change? For now, the tuning company hasn’t provided any further explanation.
3D renderings of the road
We’ve been following this project for several months. At first, the V40 looked almost like one of those spectacular concept cars designed primarily for social media. Then Venuum showed off the first SF90, which had been disassembled in its workshops, before announcing that several cars were now in production.
This time, there’s really no doubt about it. The first one is built. The images reveal a red V4X speeding down a winding road. From the front, the similarities to the Ferrari F40 are immediately apparent, but some will also see a bit of the F50 in it. At the rear, the massive spoiler, the four circular taillights, the perforated engine hood, and the three central exhaust tips give the car a particularly spectacular look.
And for the first time, we can also experience this creation from inside the cockpit and, above all, hear it in action. After months of looking at digital images, seeing the car take turns and hearing its engine inevitably changes how we perceive the project.
A Radically Redesigned Ferrari SF90
Beneath this extensively redesigned body lies a Ferrari SF90, which serves as the donor car. Its hybrid powertrain—combining a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors—serves as the starting point, with Venuum claiming that its creation delivers approximately 1,100 HP.
The tuner also takes care to clarify his position once again. In the video, he presents the V4X as «an independent Venuum project,» based on a donor SF90 and with no affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement from an automaker. This clarification also explains the absence of Ferrari emblems. At the rear, as on the hood, the Venuum logo now appears. The conversion thus openly asserts its own identity, even though its inspiration obviously leaves little room for doubt.
The first in a very short series
Venuum had announced that only six units would be produced, with extensive customization for each owner. We had already seen a white model with turquoise stripes and then an emerald green one with white rims—both of which had previously been shown only as renderings. The red car in this first video therefore marks a turning point: after the promises, the 3D images, and the cars in the process of being assembled, the 1,100 HP «modern F40» is now very much a reality on the road. One question remains: should it now be officially called the Venuum V4X rather than the V40?
