VIP customers have seen the upcoming Lamborghini Revuelto SV: it is said to be 2 seconds faster than the Ferrari SF90 XX

Just a few days after the private presentation held in New York for a select group of VIP clients, exciting new details are beginning to emerge about the upcoming Lamborghini Revuelto SV. And while some were expecting an extreme version of the first Lamborghini With its V12 hybrid engine, the figures that have been revealed seem to confirm that the Sant’Agata Bolognese-based brand is indeed developing a true track machine.

Above all, one thing immediately catches the eye: the upcoming Revuelto SV is reportedly already faster than the Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale on one of Europe’s premier race tracks.

Power increased

During the our previous article, several rumors suggested a power output of up to 1,200 hp. Information obtained from customers who attended the private presentation now allows for a much more accurate estimate.

The Revuelto SV would thus produce 1,065 hp, or 1,080 hp. This represents a relatively modest increase compared to the 1,015 hp of the Revuelto standard, but one that fits perfectly with the philosophy of the SV versions. Lamborghini isn’t just looking to increase raw power: the goal is above all to improve overall performance through extensive work on aerodynamics, weight, and dynamic handling. With 1,065 hp, this new version would also rival the highly exclusive Lamborghini Fenomeno, recently unveiled and produced in an ultra-limited series.

Faster than the Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale

This is probably the most striking piece of information revealed during this private presentation. According to data shared with the clients in attendance, the Revuelto SV reportedly clocked a lap time of 1 minute 41.6 seconds at the Hockenheimring circuit in Germany. This is a particularly impressive time, as it is reportedly about two seconds faster than that of the Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale.

To appreciate the magnitude of this achievement, it’s also worth noting that the Aventador SVJ—long considered the ultimate Lamborghini for the road—would be left six seconds behind its successor. These figures suggest that Lamborghini has focused its efforts on aerodynamic efficiency and the optimal use of its hybrid system rather than on a simple power race. On the track, a few seconds represent a considerable gap between two supercars of this caliber.

Radical look

The prototypes spotted in recent months already hinted at a significant aesthetic evolution. The latest information points in the same direction. The Revuelto SV is expected to adopt an even more aggressive style, featuring a blacked-out center section of the front hood, a black roof, and several specific aerodynamic elements designed to accentuate its sporty character.

The interior is no exception. Lamborghini has reportedly adopted the seats developed for the Fenomeno, offering better lateral support and a more track-oriented feel. Future owners will also have the option to choose from four different SV livery configurations, allowing them to further personalize their car while maintaining the visual identity specific to this version.

Production was much higher than expected

One of the surprises concerns production volume. While some rumors suggested a limited run of just a few hundred units, Lamborghini is reportedly planning a global production run of 1,963 units. This figure was likely not chosen at random, as it corresponds to the year the brand was founded. While this quantity is obviously limited on the scale of the global automotive market, it will allow more customers to get their hands on what could become one of the most desirable Lamborghinis of the decade. However, word on the street is that the increase in production is due to a slowdown in Revuelto sales.

See you in Monterey this summer

While the private unveiling in New York gave a select few the chance to get a sneak peek at the car, the general public will have to wait a few more weeks. The official unveiling is expected to take place during Monterey Car Week, scheduled for August 10–12, 2026, in California. According to the information obtained, the launch vehicle on display at the event will feature a red finish—a choice that perfectly aligns with the spectacular image Lamborghini wishes to project for its new creation. The automaker has previously unveiled several models at this event, such as the Lanzador concept and the Fenomeno.
