Lamborghini: The world's first supercar had 385 hp in 1966; its tribute model, 60 years later, boasts 1,015 hp

The leak appeared a few days ago was right. Lamborghini has just officially unveiled the Revuelto Miura 60° Homage, a special edition celebrating the 60th anniversary of the legendary Miura. Only 99 units will be produced, making this edition one of the Revuelto the most exclusive ever offered.

Created by the Ad Personam department in collaboration with the Centro Stile Lamborghini, this edition does not seek to enhance the Revuelto’s performance. Instead, it uses the current flagship model from Sant’Agata Bolognese to bridge the gap between two generations of V12 engines separated by six decades.

60 Years After the Birth of a Legend

Unveiled in 1966, the Miura It is considered the world’s first supercar. Its mid-rear V12 engine layout, spectacular design, and performance left an indelible mark on automotive history. In its most powerful version, the Miura produced 385 ch and could reach 290 km/h. Sixty years later, the numbers have obviously changed dramatically.

The Revuelto combines its naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine with three electric motors to produce 1,015 ch. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of over 350 km/h. No mechanical changes have been announced for this Miura 60° Homage: its uniqueness lies entirely in its presentation.

Nine historic colors and two liveries

Lamborghini offers nine colors inspired by those of the Miura: Rosso Arancio, Arancio, Giallo, Verde Scandal, Verde Metallic, Blu Tahiti, Blu Notte, Nero Noctis, and Bianco Monocerus.

Two special paint schemes then evoke an iconic aesthetic feature of the historic Miuras, with the lower portion of the body contrasting with the main color. The Oro Elios configuration features Altanero Shiny Gold wheels, while the Grigio Nimbus version comes with Altanero Matt Titanium Diamond wheels. A «Miura 60» logo also appears on the lower body panels, complemented by a glossy black Lamborghini emblem at the rear, glossy black brake calipers, and matte black exhaust tips.

Lamborghini is even offering a particularly appealing option for collectors who already own a Miura: through Ad Personam, they’ll be able to replicate the color scheme of their classic car on their Revuelto.

The tribute continues inside the car. The seats feature a «Classica Trim» finish that reinterprets the Miura’s famous «cannelloni» pattern, while leather covers the center console, door panels, and the partition behind the occupants. «Miura 60» embroidery is featured between the seats. Most importantly, each car is fitted with a carbon-fiber plaque bearing the inscription «Miura 60° – Serie Speciale 1 di 99,» immediately highlighting the model’s rarity.

From Leak to Official Announcement

The images that surfaced in late July had therefore correctly revealed the two key details: the tribute to the Miura and a production run limited to 99 cars. The official announcement shows, however, that Lamborghini has gone beyond simply adding a few gold accents to the Revuelto. The Revuelto Miura 60° Homage will make its world debut at the Lamborghini Lounge Monterey during Monterey Car Week.
