He already owns nine supercars, but he waited 16 years to buy the Ferrari V12 he had admired even before he got his driver's license.

GMK, whose real name is Georges Maroun Kikano, may own some of the most desirable supercars on the planet (Ferrari 812 Competizione, Ferrari 488 Pista Spider, Ferrari 458 Speciale, Ferrari 430 Scuderia, Lamborghini Aventador SV…), his latest acquisition stands out from the rest. In a video posted a few days ago, the influencer—who has 2.84 million subscribers on YouTube—unveils a Ferrari 599 GTO. A car worth over a million euros, but whose value, in his eyes, is measured above all in memories.

«I really bought the Ferrari »of my dreams." Right from the start, GMK sets the tone. This time, it's not just about adding another spectacular car to his garage. He says he went looking for this Ferrari for nearly a year and describes his achievement as a «personal accomplishment.».

A Ferrari that he dreamed about even before he had his driver's license

Hidden under the tarp is, in fact, a Ferrari 599 GTO. And when the bodywork is revealed, emotion quickly takes precedence over the specs. GMK explains that he had dreamed of this car when he was still very young. Around 2010, even before he had his driver’s license, he would watch 599 GTOs drive by with fascination. He particularly remembers one he spotted in Monaco, parked next to a boat. Sixteen years later, he’s the one who owns one now.

«This is the car I’m happiest to have in my garage,» he says. A statement that takes on a whole new meaning when you consider the Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches, and other exceptional models that have passed through his hands.

A 670 ch 599 GTO, customized down to the last detail

Produced in a limited run of just 599 units, the 599 GTO is powered by a naturally aspirated V12 engine producing 670 ch. Its performance is impressive even today, and was particularly spectacular when it was first released.

But GMK wasn’t looking for just any car. Low mileage, a specific configuration, original paint, and specific equipment were all part of his requirements. His car has about 11,000 km on it and, notably, still has its original paint—right down to the small stone chips. Ferrari reportedly offered to repaint the front end before delivery. He refused. To him, these marks are the car’s «scars» and are part of its history.

More than one million euros, but not an investment

This pursuit obviously comes at a price. GMK claims to have paid «well over one million euros» for his 599 GTO, even though, according to him, comparable models were still selling for around 750,000 euros just six months earlier. He also believes that the car’s value could continue to rise sharply. However, he insists that speculation was not the motivation behind this purchase. In fact, his intention is exactly the opposite: to keep the Ferrari for as long as possible and, one day, pass it on to his children or family.

In his view, the 599 GTO has become part of «automotive heritage,» comparable to a work of art that one owns not only for its financial value. It’s worth noting that only three Ferraris have ever borne the prestigious GTO designation: the 250 GTO, the 288 GTO, and this 599 GTO (and perhaps, in the future, Ferrari will unveil a 12Cilindri GTO).

In the middle of a garage where cars costing hundreds of thousands—or even millions—of euros are no longer a rarity, it’s a fifteen-year-old Ferrari that brings the biggest smile to GMK’s face. Not because it’s the most expensive or the fastest, but because before he could buy it, he had first dreamed of owning it.
