De Tomaso Pantera

The De Tomaso Pantera is a supercar produced between 1971 and 1996. Designed by Tom Tjaarda at Ghia, it quickly became De Tomaso's most famous model, thanks to its spectacular design and American Ford V8 engine. With its rear mid-engine architecture and aggressive lines, the Pantera competed directly with the Ferraris and Lamborghinis of the 1970s. Distributed in the United States via the Lincoln-Mercury network at the start of its career, it enjoyed considerable commercial success for an Italian supercar.
