By Tomaso Mangusta

The De Tomaso Mangusta was a supercar produced between 1967 and 1971. Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro at Ghia, it succeeded the Vallelunga and became De Tomaso's first major international success. The Mangusta is distinguished by its rear mid-engine architecture and, above all, by its spectacular double gullwing rear hoods. Powered by an American Ford V8, it blended exotic Italian style with American power, heralding the future Pantera.
