Nearly twenty years after its debut, the’Alfa Romeo 8C continues to fascinate collectors. This supercar, born from the collaboration between Alfa Romeo, Maserati and Ferrari evoke a time when passion came first. And today, that passion comes at a price: an 8C Spider has just gone on the market in Italy for €410,000, confirming the rising value of this model, which has achieved cult status.
An 8C Spider priced at €410,000
The car in question is currently for sale in Pordenone, Italy, at Ermes Turchet. It is a 2009 Alfa Romeo 8C Spider in its most iconic configuration: Rosso Competizione Tristrato bodywork and an all-black leather interior.
The price? €410,000. That’s a staggering amount when you consider that, at its launch, the 8C Spider was priced at around €215,000. In less than twenty years, its value has therefore nearly doubled.

But this particular car checks almost all the boxes sought after by collectors. It has been an Italian-registered car since its initial registration, has had only one owner, has just 6,139 km on the odometer, and comes with a complete service history. The seller notes, in particular, that six maintenance services were performed at Ferrari, that the last official Alfa Romeo service was in November 2025, and that the car still has its original accessories: a protective cover, a load carrier, the leather bags that came with the car, and even the commemorative delivery frame.

A Ferrari-Maserati V8 that's become even more desirable
The reason the 8C is so appealing today isn’t just because of its rarity. Unveiled as a concept car in 2003 before going into production a few years later, it’s often considered one of the most beautiful modern Alfa Romeos. Jeremy Clarkson even called it the most beautiful car ever made.

Hidden beneath its long hood lies one of its greatest selling points: the 4.7-liter F136 V8, a naturally aspirated engine from the Ferrari-Maserati family, assembled in Maranello. In the 8C, it produces 450 ch at 7,000 rpm and 470 Nm of torque, with a sound that’s now almost impossible to find in a modern car.

Paired with a six-speed automated manual transmission and a transaxle layout, this engine allowed the Alfa Romeo 8C to reach approximately 292 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just over 4 seconds. While these figures are no longer exceptional in 2026, the driving thrill offered by this Alfa Romeo now belongs to a bygone era.
Prices continue to rise
This listing at €410,000 confirms a trend already observed in recent months. In September 2025, a Alfa Romeo 8C Spider—in like-new condition with only 30 km on the odometer had fetched $400,000 at auction. A few months later, in January 2026, another example with only 95 miles on the odometer was even sold for $423,500.
Other 8C Spiders are even more affordable depending on their mileage: a 2010 model with just 15 km is listed in Dubai for $330,000, while a 2009 model with 19,000 km on the odometer is currently listed in the Netherlands for €319,500.
With only 500 coupes and 329 Spiders produced, the Alfa Romeo 8C is gradually joining the exclusive ranks of modern classic cars. A supercar that may not have been the fastest of its time, but one that combined three elements that have become rare today: timeless Alfa Romeo design, extremely limited production, and a naturally aspirated V8 engine built in Maranello. For some collectors, it’s now worth more than €400,000.
