Maserati Grecale Folgore 2025: price cut for the electric SUV, except in one country!

Maserati adjusts its strategy for its first electric SUV, the Grecale Folgore, with significant price cuts for the 2025 model in several countries. An expected decision to reposition the Folgore in the face of fierce competition and attract more customers in key markets. However, Germany, Europe's automotive bastion, seems to be the exception in this pricing strategy.

A welcome price cut for 2025

Presented in spring 2022, the Maserati Grecale Folgore had been much talked about, not least for its its high launch price. A positioning that placed it in a strong position above its direct competitors such as the BMW iX or Audi SQ8 Sportback e-tron. With version 2025, Maserati adopts a new approach to reducing prices in several countries:

The German exception

Unlike other markets, the price of Grecale Folgore remains unchanged in Germany, à 124 301 €. This status quo is intriguing, especially as Germany is a crucial market for electric vehicles. This is the country where the model is most expensiveIt has the lowest VAT rate (19 % vs. 20 % in France and 21 % in Italy).

  1. 109,000 $ = €104,000 ...the Americans are the best served; otherwise still too expensive given the performance comparison with the Macan Turbo; after all, it's obviously a question of style preference, brand, etc...

  2. There's an article in caradisiac, where we learn that HERTZ in the USA is selling off its Grecale rental units for around 40,000 euros!
