Lancia continues to build suspense around its long-awaited Ypsilon HF. A few days ago, the Italian brand posted a new image on Instagram of the high-performance version of its electric city car... in a brand-new hue: Arancio Lava, a vibrant, sporty orange. A color that contrasts with the two other, more sober colors announced: Bianco Quarzo and Nero Ardesia.
It will soon be one year since Lancia lifted the veil on the Ypsilon HF prototypethe first truly sporty version of the electric city car. Now, the official presentation is fast approaching: it will take place at the end of June, as confirmed by the brand's latest press release.
280 horsepower and a sharpened spec sheet
The official press release confirms what we announced back in May The Lancia Ypsilon HF will develop 280 hp via a 100 % electric motor. Its acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds puts it at the pinnacle of small electric sports cars, ahead of rivals such as the Alpine A290 GT Performance (6.4 s). It also logically outperforms the Alfa Romeo Junior veloce, whose 0 to 100 is claimed to take 5.9 sec.
But that's not all. The Ypsilon HF will also benefit from :
- a Torsen differential for optimum traction (as on Junior Veloce and Abarth 600e),
- Alcon Motorsport braking to handle performance (as on the Abarth 600e),
- a lowered chassis and wider track for sharper handling.
Verdict: the surprise weapon of 2025?
Only a few weeks remain before the official presentation. In the meantime, we can look forward to further revelations, and perhaps even to discovering the car from every angle on Italpassion, who knows?

It's a pity it wasn't released earlier, though. Because the 208 GTE (or GTi?) will be presented in 5 days at Le Mans. So it's safe to assume that it'll be out sooner than the Lancia. It will completely overshadow the Ypsilon...
And to think we won't even be able to put a Ragazzon exhaust on it!
On the HF-Line, which is a 1.2L hybrid 110 hp with the HF body kit, this will be possible 😉

So I'm waiting for the Italpassion report, even if I'm not completely convinced by the design, it's still a chance to have so many exclusives on Italian brands!

Stellantis really needs to change his ways...
In its day, the Y10 was also described as ugly. Yet with its bright metallic green, refined finish (alcantara upholstery), truncated lines and hypertonic engine, it gave me a lot of pleasure! I have no doubt that this new model will win over enthusiasts, tired or otherwise, of the Peugeot line.
Stellantis wird es schaffen Lancia zu eliminieren. Ohne Grund wird der Quotenbringer eingestellt und dafür ein Opelähnliches Gebilde präsentiert. Da helfen wohl aufgemotzte Ableger nichts mehr. Die neuen Zulassungen lassen schlimmes befürchten.

Very nice color that I'll buy right away without hesitation. After all, it's not a Lancia and the 208 GTI will be available not far from where I live. The poor Lancia HF has no commercial interest except for Italians.
Sadly, I'd be surprised if Lancia survives this electric nonsense at all. In between the Junior and the 600e and from the spy pics, hardly a beauty queen.
Was ist mit dem 1,2 l - 140 PS hybrid motor, der bei fast allen anderen Stellantismarken angeboten wird, der würde dem Ypsilon auf die Sprünge helfen! Zudem was ist mit Österreich, Deutschland, Schweiz, Ungarn, Polen, Großbritannien, wo Lancia immer beliebt war? Wie immer eine scheiss Modell Politik bei Lancia, fast nie gab es einen direkten Anschluss als Modell Folge, immer müssten die Kunden ein jahrelanges Loch in der Modell Folge abwarten und sind deshalb zu anderen Marken gegangen.
Per il momento non è prevista la commercializzazione della Lancia in questi paesi. Il che è strano, dato che sono proprio questi i paesi con maggiore disponibilità economica.
Derzeit ist kein Lancia in diesen Ländern geplant. Das ist seltsam, denn es sind die Länder, die am meisten Geld haben.
Das sieht verdächtig danach aus, als ob stellantis Lancia komplett abdrehen will. Der Ypsilon alt war in Italien sehr beliebt und eine gute Alternative zum 500er. Vor allem billiger. Jetzt ist er weg und oh Wunder, die Verkaufszahlen fallen beim Nachfolgemodell, das doppelt so teuer ist. Länder, die Volumen für den Ypsilon bedeuten, werden nicht beliefert. Aber DS schafft mit dem DS4 gerade Mal ein paar tausend Anmeldungen über 4 Jahre. Und weiter wird Geld reingebuttert. Same story bei Maserati. Italienische Marken werden, wenn sie keine Selbstläufer sind kastriert. Französische endlos finanziert. Dekadenz!
wer soll noch Lancia kaufen, wenn wieder in Deutschland verfügbar, da Opel und Co alle "gleich" sind und aus einem Topf kommen. Die Bekanntheit ist im Keller, früher hatten die Autos eine Seele und man wusste ich kaufe einen Lancia, also etwas Besonderes. Das Gleich gilt für Alfa und Maserati. Es fehlt an Identitätsdenken.
Alter Ypsilon: aufwerten und Update bis 2028, neuer Ypsilon erst ab 2025 als Ardea parallel zum alten Ypsilon bauen. 2024 wäre der neue Delta fällig gewesen, als eyecatcher und Volumenmodell. 2027 ein SUV auf Basis Frontera, 2028 ein Gamma auf Basis neuer Giulia. 2030 ein Roadster/ Coupe auf Basis eines neuen Alfa GTV mit Anleihen vom fulvia showcar . Wenn's gut läuft finanziell, dann 2029 ein großes SUV.
Ein HF mit " 4 Randbolzen " wie passt das zusammen ????
