
Just when we thought the Fiat Panda would become the Pandina to make way for the future Grande Panda, Fiat has just unveiled a new, simplified range called Panda Classic. Contrary to expectations, the Panda name has not been dropped. The new range comprises two distinct models: thea Panda City and Pandina.
Range simplification
Fiat has opted for a major simplification of its offeringwith a wide range of standard equipment. Whereas in 2023, customers had to choose between various packages such as comfort, style, tech, comfort & style, comfort & tech, Cross or RED, 2024 sees the arrival of a streamlined range. From now on, buyers will only have to choose between Panda City and Pandina.
The The only chargeable customization concerns colors, with a varied palette including yellow, Gelato white, Cinema black, Amore red, Italian blue and Forest green. Fiat also offers a two-tone option with a black roof for those wishing to add a touch of contrast.

New equipment and technologies
The 2024 versions of the Panda City and Pandina are equipped with new ADAS systems (advanced driver assistance systems), a digital dashboard and a new steering wheel, integrating the latest safety and comfort technologies:
- Driver attention alert
- Lane departure warning
- Autonomous emergency braking
- Reading traffic signs

However, this simplification and the integration of standard equipment have an impact on the starting price. This will rise from €13,600 in 2023 to 15,900 in 2024. Despite this increase, buyers now benefit from many of the features previously available only in optional packs.
While the idea of proposing two names, Panda and Pandina, for very similar models may seem redundant, it is important to note that Fiat offers a new hybrid car, made in Italy, with the latest safety features, at a competitive price. At €15,900, it's rare to find such an offer on today's market. It remains to be seen how much the Fiat Grande Panda will cost, which could be offered at the same price...
The Pandina and Panda City are very affordable, which is not so common on the market. They are very good for a very reasonable price.
What more could you ask for in a city car or small car?
Das Auto ist damit auf dem deutschen Markt zu teuer.
Der Panda City ist nur ein 4 Sitzer, für das gleiche Geld bekommt man auch Hyundai i10, Kia Picanto, sogar Dacia Sandero und Citroen C3. Die haben ebenfalls die notwendigen Assistenzsysteme.
Pandina ist viel zu teuer. Zu diesem Preis gibt es Hyundai i20, MG 3, Dacia Sandero Stepway, Suzuki Swift und sogar die Basisversionen Dacia Jogger und Duster.
All anderen Autos sind modernere Konstruktionen mit besseren Crashverhalten. Sie bieten mehr Größe, Komfort und Ausstattung.
Da muss ich schon ein großer Fan von italienischen Autos sein, um zu den wenigen Pandafahrern hier zu gehören.
Hoffentlich wird der Grande Panda ein besseres Angebot!
