The Citroën C3 Aircross, a foretaste of the future Fiat Giga-Panda

Yes, you're on Italpassion, but this French car may be of interest to you. Citroën has just unveiled the first images of its all-new SUV, the C3 Aircross. This model is, in our opinion, a fascinating prelude to what the future Fiat giga-Panda could be, following a trend observed with previous models such as Citroën ë-C3 and Fiat Pandaand the Citroën Basalt and the future Fiat Fastback SUV.

The new Citroën C3 Aircross boasts more modern styling and a muscular silhouette. The vehicle boasts generous dimensions, with a length of 4.39 meters (4.01 m for the ë-C3), offering a more spacious interior, comfortably accommodates up to seven people thanks to additional seats that fold into the trunk. The great novelty of this model is its adaptability to different engines, with options ranging from from traditional combustion to hybrid, and even an all-electric version. The ë-C3 being 100 % electric.

The comparison with the future Fiat Giga-Panda is not accidental. Nor is the relationship between the Citroën eC3 and the future Fiat Panda, the new C3 Aircross foreshadows what could be Fiat's next big thing in the compact SUV segment. Indeed, during a video published about 2 months agoOlivier François revealed that Fiat would soon be offering a "giga-Panda", a spacious family SUV.

Citroën announces that the C3 Aircross will be a market-competitive vehicle at an attractive price, designed to shake up the European compact SUV market. A segment that has seen sales exceed those of sedans since 2020.

  1. What a beauty this C3 Aircross is!
Well, it's just as ugly as any other Citroën.
The new Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Lancia models, which are variations on the Peugeot and Citroën models, are becoming increasingly popular.

    • Still, it's not as ugly as the C4, but it's yet another SUV, which is still less ridiculous than the C3 with its huge grille and city car length (I think car designers have recently lost the definition of the term "proportions")... sharing platforms, why not, but that's just cloning, and I'm not sure it'll really triple sales with Opel.

  2. I'm laughing out loud. Courage for those who have no choice but to drive such rubbish... Well, at least Citroen remains true to its reputation for making unregardable cars!
