The wait for the renewal of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio is coming to an end! The Italian brand Alfa Romeo is preparing to unveil a new generation of its flagship models, the Stelvio from 2025 (code name 951 / A5U) and the Giulia from 2026. These two models, which will succeed their predecessors almost 10 years after their launch, promise major technological innovations.
Until recently, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio had remained a mystery, with no visual leaks. But the wait is beginning to end, as several prototypes were recently spotted in Modena. Of course, you won't see anything of its design! These prototypes bear the bodywork of the Jeep Grand Cherokee L, a choice that may come as a surprise, but it's really just a cover, as the final model will have nothing to do with this American SUV. This camouflage is designed to hide the true lines of the Stelviowhich will not be revealed until closer to its release (unless there is a leak, as there has already been for the Junior or even the Ypsilon). For the record, the prototype of the current Stelvio was at the time clad in a Fiat 500L body!
The new Stelvio will be based on the STLA Large platform. This Stelvio will also be the first to use the STLA Brain software architecture, which will then be deployed in the Group's future new models. We'll now be keeping a close eye on the road tests of these prototypes, to see which ones will be electric without exhaust, and which ones will be hybrid thermals. Let's hope it doesn't take up the lines of the 408 coupé fastback! 🙄
Before with Alfa Romeo you could expect a no-fault car, now with Mesonero-Romanos, Imparato (and Tavares when designing the vehicle) you can expect the worst...
More than agree unfortunately
It's going to be a huge vehicle
It would be very disappointing if the overall architecture and interior design were pure Stelantis...
Prego, Alfa Romeo den Italienern !!!
