In the United States, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio continue to hold a few surprises in the used car market. We’ve already mentioned several examples that sold for surprisingly low prices. This time, it’s a Giulia nicknamed «Bianca» that has just changed hands for just $28,500—about €25,000—which is cheaper than an SUV Alfa Romeo Junior nine.
The car was up for auction on Cars & Bids. It is a 2017 Giulia Quadrifoglio in the stunning Rosso Competizione color with a black and red interior. The auction ended a few days ago after 54 bids and nearly 30,000 views.
A 510 ch V6 engine for 25,000 euros
At this price, buyers get a vehicle whose performance has little in common with that of a city SUV. Under the hood is a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 producing 510 ch. It’s paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and sends all its power to the rear wheels. The features are also impressive: 19-inch wheels, Brembo brakes with yellow calipers, leather and Alcantara upholstery, heated front seats, a carbon-fiber steering wheel, and a Harman/Kardon audio system. So why only €25,000?
Over 160,000 km on the odometer
The answer becomes clear right away: this Quadrifoglio has 101,100 miles on the odometer, or about 163,000 km. That’s a high mileage for a sports sedan of this caliber. Nevertheless, it retains a «clean» California title, and the Carfax report provided with the listing mentioned no accidents or mileage discrepancies. The body also shows signs of use: chipped paint, scratches, scuffed wheels, a cracked driver’s side rocker panel, and a few marks inside the cabin were noted. So this wasn’t a Giulia that had been carefully stored away in a garage, but a car that had actually been driven.
«Take care of Bianca»
That’s also what makes its story so endearing. Its owner had purchased it on Cars & Bids in August 2023 and had since driven about 9,800 miles—nearly 16,000 km. At the time of the sale, he explained that it was «the best car» he had ever owned. One of the main reasons he was parting with it was to help pay for his youngest son’s college education. And when the auction ended, the seller sent a final message to the new owner: «Take good care of Bianca—she’s a real gem.»
Yet Another Quadrifoglio Sold at a Bargain Price in the United States
This sale is just the latest in what has become a surprising series. On several occasions, we’ve seen Giulia Quadrifoglio models offered in the United States at prices comparable to much more ordinary cars, even though such prices seem hard to imagine in Europe. Of course, with over 160,000 km on the odometer, «Bianca» may end up costing her new owner a fair bit. But for about €25,000, the buyer now owns an Italian rear-wheel-drive car equipped with a 510 ch twin-turbo V6. Cheaper than a new Alfa Romeo Junior: it’s hard to sum up the Giulia Quadrifoglio’s astonishing American price tag any better than that.
