3 years after placing his order, this collector took delivery of a Pagani V12—which is not street-legal—for €3.2 million.

It took more than three years, but the wait was clearly worth it. A famous Mexican collector has just taken delivery of a spectacular Pagani Huayra The R Evo Roadster, an Italian hypercar intended exclusively for the track, with an estimated price of 3.2 million euros. And for its first public appearance, the owner chose a particularly prestigious automotive event in Mexico.

A collector who already owns some exceptional cars

On Instagram, he's known by the username Don Huayra. With nearly a million followers, this Mexican enthusiast owns a collection that would be the envy of any lover of exceptional cars. His garage includes, among others, a McLaren F1, an extremely rare McLaren F1 «HDK,» a McLaren Sabre, a Senna, a Speedtail, as well as a Capricorn 01 Zagato, a Pagani Utopia Roadster, a Maserati MC20 Cielo, and countless Ferraris. Suffice it to say, this is by no means his first spectacular acquisition.

But this time, it’s a rather special car that’s joining his collection: a Pagani Huayra R Evo Roadster, recognizable by its silver body, exposed carbon fiber accents, and numerous turquoise details.

The story dates back to 2023

The story behind this acquisition seems to have begun more than three years ago. More specifically, on June 20, 2023, while he was participating in a track day organized by Pagani In Imola, the collector posted an intriguing message on Instagram: «It would be nice to have an R in Mexico, wouldn’t it?»

At that time, the Huayra R Evo hadn’t even been officially unveiled yet! It wasn’t until February 8, 2024, that Pagani unveiled this even more radical evolution of the Huayra R. More than three years after that first announcement, the dream has now become a reality. The collector recently got behind the wheel of his new toy on the private track at the Mexico Drive Resort, before presenting it to the public on October 24, 2026, at the Pastejé Automotive Invitational in Mexico. In front of the guests, the Pagani was unveiled in a particularly spectacular configuration, featuring its butterfly doors and massive rear wing.

A 900-horsepower Pagani that has no business being on the road

Unlike most of the cars in his collection, this Huayra R Evo will not be allowed on public roads. It was designed exclusively for the track, without the constraints of type approval or those of a motorsport championship. Hidden beneath its bodywork is a 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V12 developed with HWA, capable of producing 900 HP at 8,750 rpm and 770 Nm of torque. Its redline is set at 9,200 rpm, delivering a sound worthy of the Formula 1 cars of the 1990s.

Weighing just 1,060 kg, with aerodynamics that generate 45 % of additional downforce compared to the Huayra R, and a production run limited to 35 units (this one is number 6), this Pagani is one of the most exclusive cars ever to roll out of the workshops in San Cesario sul Panaro.

And if its price is estimated at 3.2 million euros, ...that's probably not what impresses its new owner the most. After waiting three years, he can finally enjoy his V12 on the track. And judging by the first photos, he has no intention of letting it gather dust in his garage!
