This Star Wars-inspired Pagani was estimated at $7 million: it just sold for even more

There are a few weeks, we introduced you to one of the Pagani the most unique ever produced. Its name? Executor, in reference to Darth Vader's gigantic ship in Star Wars. This Huayra Roadster This one-of-a-kind car was expected to be one of the stars of the Monterey auction, with an already staggering estimate of between $5 million and $7 million. The hammer has just fallen, and its new owner has gone even further: it sold for $8.035 million, or approximately 7 million euros. A spectacular sum for a Pagani that, despite being two years old, has hardly ever been driven.

It exceeded her estimate by one million dollars

Offered by RM Sotheby’s as part of the sale of The Driver’s Philosophy Collection, the 2024 Pagani Huayra Roadster Executor therefore did not need to the Force to drive up the bidding. While the auction house had estimated its value at between $5 million and $7 million, bidders ultimately drove the price up to $8,035,000.

That’s more than a million dollars above its high estimate. This result is largely due to a configuration that no other Huayra Roadster can claim. The Executor is the only Huayra Roadster in the world to have rolled off the assembly line with a seven-speed Xtrac manual transmission. This feature is highly sought after, as supercars equipped with a true manual transmission have become extremely rare.

Truly unique

Ordered by its first owner from the California-based dealer O’Gara Coach, this Huayra has been customized to an extraordinary degree. Although production of the Roadster officially ended in 2022, this particular car was not completed until September 2024.

Beneath its exposed blue-tinted carbon-fiber bodywork lies the famous AMG-built 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12, here tuned to 846 ch and 1,049 Nm of torque. That’s significantly more than the 754 ch of a standard Huayra Roadster.

Its appearance is also instantly recognizable, with a more imposing front spoiler, a large rear wing, and a spectacular air intake mounted above the cockpit. Inside, Black Mamba leather, Indaco Blu, titanium, and carbon fiber frame the true star of the cabin: the stunning manual transmission shifter and its exposed mechanism.

$8 million for a car that has hardly ever been driven

The story becomes even more astonishing when you look at its odometer. When it went on sale, the Executor had only 53 miles on it—about 85 kilometers. Since it was delivered, it had essentially been kept in The Driver’s Philosophy Collection in California.

Its first owner therefore almost never got to enjoy the 846 ch of its V12 engine and its extremely rare manual transmission on the road. It remains to be seen whether its new owner will actually dare to get behind the wheel of this Pagani, inspired by Darth Vader’s starship. After shelling out more than $8 million, the temptation to keep it safely tucked away in a collection is likely to be strong.
