There are rare cars, exclusive cars… and then there are the masterpieces Pagani from the department Grand Complications. Just a few hours before its public debut at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the automaker from San Cesario sul Panaro has just unveiled one of its most personal creations: the Pagani Huayra 70 Derecho.
This hypercar is not a Huayra just like the others. This is the second car in a limited series of just three Huayra 70s, designed to celebrate a very special anniversary: the 70th birthday of Horacio Pagani, founder and creative force behind the Italian brand.
A storm!
For this new creation, Pagani drew inspiration from a natural phenomenon as rare as it is violent: the « Law«. This term refers to a storm system capable of producing extremely powerful, straight-line winds with sudden and devastating force. It’s an image the brand sought to capture in a car that is at once radical, precise, and spectacular.”.

The result is a Huayra that appears to be in motion even when stationary. The body features a Pearl Orange and Blue paint scheme specially developed to showcase Pagani’s famous «fishbone» carbon fiber weave. The deep, translucent Inky Blue hue adorns the lower sections and the monocoque, while the pearlescent orange covers the bodywork with golden highlights visible in the light. Every detail has been crafted with the precision of fine jewelry, particularly the solid-machined aluminum components anodized in Glossy Titanium—a finish also found on the new, exclusive Huayra 70 Titanium wheels.
An interior worthy of a Pagani
Inside, Pagani remains true to its reputation as a master of automotive craftsmanship. The Huayra 70 Derecho features a striking color combination of Ceramic White and Tricolore Blue leather, accented with custom stitching.

The connection between the exterior and interior continues with several accents in Pearl Orange, notably on the 12 o’clock marker on the steering wheel and on the gearshift knob. The founder explains that this car embodies a constant quest for balance «between form and function, intellect and craftsmanship»—an approach directly inspired by Leonardo da Vinci.
Mercedes-AMG V12 and manual transmission
While this Huayra 70 Derecho impresses with its styling, it remains, above all, a Pagani. Behind the occupants sits the legendary 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine from Mercedes-AMG, which produces 864 ch and 1,100 Nm of torque in this model.

But the detail that will likely thrill purists lies between the two seats: this Huayra retains a 7-speed manual transmission, paired with rear-wheel drive and an electromechanical limited-slip differential.

A choice that has become almost unheard of in the world of modern hypercars, but one that perfectly aligns with Horacio Pagani’s vision: a car must be fast, but above all, it must deliver an exhilarating experience. With a claimed top speed of 217 mph (approximately 350 km/h), this Huayra 70 Derecho proves that tradition and performance can still go hand in hand.
Following this initial online unveiling, the public will be able to see this one-of-a-kind car at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, alongside the Zonda F Roadster and the’Utopia Roadster. An exceptional birthday gift for Horacio Pagani… but also for car enthusiasts.
