There are only 12 in the world... this Maserati MC12 Corsa joins Miami's most secret collection.

Some cars hardly ever show their faces. And that's precisely the case with the Maserati MC12 Corsa, a track monster of which only 12 have been delivered to selected customers. And yet, one of them has just made a remarkable appearance in Miami, at the ultra-confidential Curated showroom, presented by John Temerian.

In a recent video, the latter reveals a behind-the-scenes look at a collection under construction for a very special customer. Amidst mythical Ferraris and rare Lamborghinis, a silhouette immediately catches our eye: that of the MC12 Corsa. This car has already been sold, but will soon be back after a “concours” preparation designed to make it literally as good as new.

A direct heir to Maserati's FIA GT dominance

The MC12 Corsa is no ordinary supercar. It is a direct descendant of the Maserati MC12 GT1, which made history by dominating the FIA GT World Championship in 2005. This “Corsica” version has been designed to offer private customers an extreme driving experience, without any homologation constraints.

Unlike the road-going Stradale, the Corsa has never been road-legal. Nor is it subject to the technical restrictions imposed in competition. The result is a pure, uncompromising machine designed exclusively for the track.

755 horses of brutality

Beneath its carbon-fiber bodywork lies a naturally-aspirated 6.0-liter V12 developing 755 hp. That's even more than the GT1 racing version, here freed from the air intake restrictors imposed in competition.

Weighing in at just 1,150 kg, the MC12 Corsa boasts breathtaking performance figures: 0 to 200 km/h in just 6.4 seconds and a top speed of 326 km/h. But beyond the numbers, it's the experience that counts. Every element is designed for pure performance: carbon-fiber monocoque chassis, racing-derived architecture, and radical aerodynamics dominated by a huge rear spoiler.

An extreme cousin of the Ferrari Enzo

Behind this Maserati hides a well-known DNA. The MC12 is built on the foundation of the Ferrari Enzo, whose engine architecture and technical features it takes over. But where the Enzo remains a road-going hypercar, the MC12 Corsa goes a step further by becoming a true privateer racing car.

It's this duality that makes it so fascinating: a machine from Maranello, transformed by Maserati into an exclusive track weapon, inaccessible to the general public.

A masterpiece for an extraordinary collection

In the video, John Temerian explains that this MC12 Corsa is part of the creation of one of today's most impressive collections. A selection of rare, often unique models, brought together for a single customer. The MC12 Corsa naturally becomes one of the central pieces. Not only for its extreme rarity, but also for what it represents: Maserati's return to the pinnacle of competition in the 2000s. Its passage through Miami is therefore not insignificant. It's part of a much larger project, in which each car tells a story and embodies an era.

What makes this appearance so striking is quite simply the rarity of the car. With only 12 customer examples produced between 2006 and 2007, the MC12 Corsa is one of the most exclusive models ever built by Maserati. Most are now hidden away in private collections, rarely exhibited, let alone filmed. To catch a glimpse of one, even briefly, is an event.
