Luxury brands do not know the crisis. The proof is in the pudding with Lamborghini which closed its best ever half-year of sales of all time with 4,852 vehicles in the first 6 months of 2021.
If the brand with the bull is still unable to catch up with the prancing horse, it is vigorously catching up with a range yet more modest. Only 3 models and renewed special editions (Roadster, Evo, STO, Ultimae, etc...) for each of them.
Lamborghini grows 37 % this year compared to the first half of 2020.
The Urus SUV runs at the top with 2,796 units, followed by the Huracan with 1,532 units and finally, the Aventador with 524 units.
It is easy to imagine that Lamborghini to exceed 9,000 sales in 2021 and will follow Ferrari which, with a dozen models in the catalog, will probably exceed 10,000 sales as in 2019 (against 9,000 sales in 2020, an exceptional year like Lamborghini).
This decade will be very interesting since, with the many new features announced at the Lamborghini electrification planthe bull could well double the prancing horse in terms of sales.
