Barely a month after causing a sensation at its debut at Monterey Car Weekthe Lamborghini Revuelto SV It seems to have already left the showrooms and racetracks to take on a much more ordinary environment: the open road. One of the new V12 supercars from Sant’Agata Bolognese was recently spotted on the roads of Colorado in the United States.
The photos were posted by the Instagram account «colorado_car_spotter,» which claims to have photographed this brand-new Lamborghini on the streets of Louisville, Colorado—a long way from California. And it’s hard to go unnoticed with a silhouette like that. Perhaps it’s heading from the West to the East of the United States? Some believe it’s a test car from the Italian automaker.
A Revuelto SV on the road
The car pictured features a red paint job paired with numerous black accents. But it is primarily the aerodynamic modifications that set this SV apart from a 1,015 HP Revuelto. The front bumper is significantly more aggressive, the aerodynamic components are particularly noticeable, and the side skirts have been redesigned.
This unveiling comes just one month after the model’s official debut. At that time, Lamborghini had unveiled a much more radical evolution of its hybrid supercar, in the grand tradition of the Miura SV, Diablo SV, Murciélago SV, and Aventador SV. Under the bodywork, the naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine remains. Combined with three electric motors and a new 7.3-kWh battery, it enables the Revuelto SV to produce 1,065 HP —50 HP more than the standard Revuelto.
Over 345 km/h… and already on the roads
The reported performance figures give an idea of this Lamborghini’s potential: 0 to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds, 200 km/h in 6.7 seconds, and a reported top speed of 348 km/h. But Lamborghini didn’t just add power. The aerodynamics generate 80 % of additional downforce compared to the Revuelto, while the manufacturer also claims greater agility and lateral grip. Even before its unveiling, the Revuelto SV had, in fact, clocked a time of 1 min 41.6 s on the Hockenheim circuit with Marco Mapelli at the wheel.
Seeing it now cruising the streets of Colorado marks a new milestone in the early career of this supercar, limited to 1,963 units. It remains to be seen whether this red Revuelto SV is a development vehicle still in use by Lamborghini or a unit already destined for a customer. In either case, just one month after its unveiling, the new SV is already starting to make public appearances.
