Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz, and Max Verstappen have at least one thing in common outside of Formula 1: all three own a Ferrari Daytona SP3. And they’ve probably just seen the value of their Italian hypercar climb a little higher. On October 31, 2026, in Las Vegas, a model of this car equipped with a naturally aspirated V12 engine sold for $18.54 million (or €16,469,000), setting a new record for a Daytona SP3 outside of a charity auction. This result is all the more impressive given that its first owner had purchased it for approximately $2.3 million!
A Ferrari bought for $2.3 million and sold for $18.54 million!
It was at the auction organized by Broad Arrow Auctions at the Wynn Las Vegas that this 2025 Ferrari Daytona SP3 sent the bid prices soaring. Featuring a rare paint job Francesca Verde, built as part of the Tailor Made program, it also stands out for its interior, which combines black Alcantara and mustard-colored fabric.

But what makes it unique is also reflected in its odometer reading: only 81 miles, or 130 kilometers miles driven since it was delivered. Suffice it to say that its first owner hardly ever took advantage of the 840 ch produced by its naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine.

According to the information provided with this sale, the car had been purchased new for $2,334,048. Two years later, after a bidding war among several bidders, the hammer fell at $16.85 million, or $18.54 million, including expenses. A theoretical capital gain of more than $16 million, before fees and taxes!
A new record just three months after the previous one
This sale confirms a dramatic trend. In October 2025, a red Daytona SP3 was sold in Switzerland for approximately 5.6 million euros. In August 2026, we reported that a yellow model had just reached $17.825 million in Monterey.

Less than three months later, this new result has surpassed the previous record of $715,000. And unlike the Daytona SP3 «599+1», sold for $26 million in 2025 to benefit charitable causes, this is indeed a model from the customer-only series. With only 599 customer models produced, its non-hybrid V12 engine, and its design inspired by 1960s Ferrari race cars, the Daytona SP3 appears to be becoming one of the most sought-after modern Ferraris among collectors.

Leclerc, Sainz, and Verstappen Have Every Reason to Smile
This new auction should be of particular interest to three Formula 1 drivers. Charles Leclerc owns a matte black Daytona SP3 with a red-and-white center stripe—a design that has become his signature look on several of his personal Ferraris.

Carlos Sainz also owns a Daytona SP3. In fact, the Spaniard explained in October 2025 that he preferred Investing in Classic Ferraris rather than leaving his money in the bank. A philosophy that now seems to prove him right.

As for Max Verstappen, his red Daytona SP3 with white stripes, scheduled for delivery in February 2026, was recently spotted on the streets of Monaco. At the time, we estimated that such a model could potentially be worth close to 16 million euros.

With this new record of $18.54 million—approximately 16.5 million euros—the Daytona SP3’s value continues to soar. Of course, this doesn’t mean that the three drivers could sell their cars at that price: mileage, configuration, and history remain key factors. But one thing is certain: their V12 Ferraris are now even more sought-after. And their prestigious provenance could, one day, make all the difference.
