There are Ferrari some for their performance, others for their rarity. And then there are those that tell a story, like this Ferrari F430 Spider from 2009. The former personal sports car of Tony Iommi, mythical figure of the band Black Sabbath, will soon be offered for auction at the Supercar Fest 2026 organized by Iconic Auctioneers in the UK. This F430 Spider doesn't just belong to a heavy metal legend. It's also one of the latest Ferrari F430 produced in Maranello, giving it an even more special dimension for collectors.
One of the last Ferrari F430s produced
According to the British auction house, this Ferrari is one of the last ten F430s to roll off the production line. This information immediately attracts attention, as the F430 occupies an important place in Ferrari's modern history.

Introduced in the mid-2000s as the successor to the 360 Modena, At the time, the F430 represented a real technological leap forward. Its atmospheric 4.3-liter V8 developed almost 490 horsepower, with a sound that has become cult over the years. Ferrari had also integrated several technologies directly inspired by Formula 1, such as the E-Diff electronic differential and the famous Manettino on the steering wheel.

At the time, the F430 also marked an important evolution in terms of reliability and everyday use. In particular, Ferrari abandoned the 360's costly timing belts in favor of a chain, greatly simplifying maintenance of the Italian V8.
Elegant, highly optional configuration
The model on sale is particularly sober and elegant. The body is finished in the famous Nero Daytona, combined with a black soft top and heated sand-colored Sabia leather interior. A typically Ferrari combination from the late 2000s, both sporty and refined.

This F430 Spider also boasts a very high level of equipment for its time. These include the highly sought-after carbon-ceramic brakes, an option that cost around £20,000 in the early years of production. The car also features a carbon steering wheel with LEDs, numerous carbon-fiber inserts on the dashboard, and Scuderia badges on the front fenders.

With almost 38,000 miles on the odometer, or just over 61,000 kilometers, the Ferrari appears to have been meticulously maintained throughout its life. The Nero Daytona paint has even been given a protective film and professional ceramic treatment to preserve its shine.
A Ferrari with a real history
Celebrity-owned Ferraris are plentiful, but not all have an interesting history. In the case of this F430 Spider, the link with Tony Iommi adds a special dimension. Considered one of the pioneers of heavy metal, the Black Sabbath guitarist marked several generations of musicians with his unique style and legendary riffs. Imagining this Ferrari traveling the roads of Britain in the hands of the musician obviously adds an extra touch of soul to this already highly desirable Italian.

The car will be auctioned on May 16, 2026 at the Supercar Fest at Sywell Aerodrome, UK. Its estimate is around £70,000, or around €81,000 and 95,000 $. For Ferrari enthusiasts and rock fans alike, it's hard to remain unmoved by such a combination... provided you accept driving with the steering wheel on the right.
