A year ago, almost to the day, an ad set the automotive community on fire: a German seller was attempting to resell a Ferrari F80 purchase order before it was even produced, with a capital gain of several million euros. A few weeks later, the ad had mysteriously disappeared. Ferrari ? A buyer in a hurry? Impossible to say. But it's November 17, 2025... and history seems to be repeating itself.
The Ferrari F80: the new object of absolute speculation

Presented in October 2024the Ferrari F80 has become the most coveted hypercar of the moment. The spiritual successor to the F40, F50, Enzo and LaFerrari, the F80 breaks with tradition: no more V12, but a V6 hybrid with 1,200 hp combined, three electric motors, four-wheel drive and a radical design that divides... but fascinates. At 3.6 million euros manufacturer's price, and limited to just 799 examples, the F80 was obviously already sold out even before its official unveiling. And as always with Ferrari, it wasn't enough to have the money: you had to be chosen.
A new advert appears... at over 6.3 million euros
This time, the story takes place at Autohaus Schwabenhof in Germany. Among its used Audis, Mercedes and Porsches, a UFO suddenly appears in its catalog: a Ferrari F80... well, its "build slot". An order form available, new, Rosso Corsa DS 332 red, black alcantara interior, and a configuration still flexible according to the seller. The price? €6,307,000 inc. tax or €5,300,000 ex.

That's almost double the manufacturer's price. An amount that would make a used LaFerrari look like a bargain. The ad describes a brand-new car, ready to be configured, with all the equipment expected of a modern hypercar: front/rear cameras, sensors, sports seats, semi-autonomous driving. In short, everything Ferrari can offer... but not yet deliver.
A previous ad had disappeared
Already last year, a German company, KB-Lease Invest GmbH, had put a similar order form for the F80 on sale, already for 6 million euros. A few weeks after it was posted on mobile.de, the ad had been removed. Ferrari, true to his anti-speculation policy, is not kidding:
- Some customers have to keep their cars for several years before they can resell them.
- Reselling a purchase order before delivery is, in principle, strictly forbidden.
So when a German dealer publicly uploads an F80 build slot... the question naturally arises.
How long before the ad disappears?
The timing is troubling: An F80 put on sale in November 2024 ➝ ad removed in a matter of days. A new F80 on sale in November 2025 ➝ same price, same country, same strategy. So: Does Autohaus Schwabenhof already know that the ad won't remain online for long? Or is it banking on a buyer in a hurry, ready to sign up to secure a copy of a hypercar that will never be available again? One thing's for sure: this ad probably won't be online for very long.
