Maserati reaffirms its commitment to the ABB FIA Championship of Formula E. This announcement confirms the Italian brand's presence in the competition until the introduction of the GEN4 generation of single-seaters, scheduled for season 13 (2026/2027)and extends its adventure to 2030.
GEN4: a turning point Maserati doesn't want to miss
The official press release underlines the importance of this championship for Maseratiwhere technology and competition come together to speed up development of the Folgore range, 100 % electric. With GEN4, Maserati wants to play its part in this innovation, by integrating even more powerful single-seaters, with all-wheel drive and the ability to recover up to 600 kW of energy.
In parallel, GEN3 EVO generation developments, which on track for season 11 with new driversare already showing impressive advances in this category. With a acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.82 seconds and enhanced performance thanks to innovative technologies, Maserati intends to establish itself as one of the championship's leading teams by 2025.
Santo Ficili, Maserati's new CEO for the past two monthsreiterated the importance of this discipline. "For Maserati, the link between the track and the road is inseparable. Formula E offers a unique testing ground, enabling us to translate technological advances into concrete performance for our customers."
A close partnership with Stellantis Motorsport
Maserati's commitment is also part of an ongoing close collaboration with Stellantis MotorsportAs Jean-Marc Finot, Senior VP of Stellantis Motorsport, points out: "For over 10 years, we have been developing highly efficient powertrains for DS and Maserati. Formula E remains an ideal platform for refining these technologies and reinforcing our leading position in electromobility."

An ambitious season 11
With the driving duo of Stoffel Vandoorne, season 8 world champion, and Jake Hughes, promising British driver, Maserati MSG Racing is aiming for ambitious results this season. Ranked 8th in the previous season, the team is determined to climb the ranks, buoyed by Vandoorne's experience and Hughes' enthusiasm.
Their GEN3 EVO single-seater, featuring a design combining "pink gold liquid metal" and "Maserati blue", symbolizes this renewed ambition. The first races, scheduled for São Paulo in December, will provide an opportunity to measure the team's progress.
