Since its announcement, theAlfa Romeo 33 Stradale fascinates car enthusiasts. Produced in just 33 examples, this supercar embodies Italian design excellence and exceptional performance. While the the first delivery is scheduled for December 17, 2024, an enigmatic post on the social networks ofAlfa Romeo a question: Valterri Bottas, driver of F1 and former member of Alfa Romeo Racing, is he one of the privileged few to own this rolling work of art?
An intriguing post that sows doubt
The official Alfa Romeo account recently published :
"We give you three clues:
- An exclusive track.
- One of the world's most talented drivers.
- A supercar recalling an icon of the past.
The post explicitly mentions @valtteribottas and is accompanied by several photos in which the Finnish driver is surrounded by major Alfa Romeo figures Cristiano Fiorio, Marketing and Communications Manager, and Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos, Design Director. We also see a car, carefully framed so as not to give away its identity. However, everything points to the 33 Stradale.
A special relationship between Bottas and Alfa Romeo
Valterri Bottas enjoys a close relationship with the Italian brand. A former driver with the Alfa Romeo Racing team (now Stake F1 Team Sauber), he also owns a Giulia GTAm, another of the brand's exclusive creations. His passion for Alfa Romeo and his participation in this mysterious event reinforce the hypothesis that he might be one of the lucky 33 to have acquired the 33 Stradale.
The clues are piling up
This on-track meeting with a key team involved in the 33 Stradale project appears to be much more than a simple presentation session. The presence of Cristiano Fiorio, who piloted the project, and the explicit mentions of the exclusive nature of the event, leave little room for doubt.
If Bottas hasn't ordered his own 33 Stradale, it's possible that he had the honor of piloting the 00 prototype used for development. This unique model has already impressed during tests at Nardò, reaching 333 km/hand Balocco, where its dynamic performance has been fine-tuned.
Despite the indications, Alfa Romeo has yet to confirm whether Bottas has actually purchased one of the 33 Stradale models. If so, he would join an extremely select club of collectors with access to a car that embodies Italian craftsmanship.
The answer may be revealed in the upcoming content teased by Alfa Romeo.
UPDATE: Alfa Romeo has just released a video showing that Vaterri Bottas has indeed tested the 33 Stradale.
