In less than a month, the 2026 Paris Motor Show will open its doors. And this year’s event promises to be particularly busy for Stellantis. The group plans to showcase more than 60 vehicles, including nine concept cars from eight of its brands. Citroën, in particular, is preparing a surprise inspired by the most iconic model in its history. But over at’Alfa Romeo, another new feature is sure to catch our attention.
The Italian automaker has just confirmed that a brand-new concept car will be unveiled in Paris. And we now know exactly when the veil will be lifted: on October 12, 2026, at 10:55 a.m., during the Alfa Romeo press conference.
Alfa Romeo promises a car for Alfisti
For now, Alfa Romeo is being careful not to reveal either the name or the silhouette of this mysterious new model. The automaker is, however, setting the tone by presenting this concept as the car that «every Alfista has been waiting for.» That’s a particularly ambitious claim. Alfa Romeo explains that the car is meant to embody its vision of the future, while retaining the brand’s historic hallmarks: driving pleasure, Italian design, performance, and that special bond between the car and its driver.

Three major sources of inspiration are even mentioned: Italy, sportiness, and the color red. Italian craftsmanship and elegance must thus be combined with a constant pursuit of dynamism, while the color red naturally evokes the competition and passion that have defined Alfa Romeo for decades. One key question remains: what car lies behind this message?
Giulietta: An Upcoming C-SUV or a New Bottegafuoriserie Creation?
There are several possible scenarios. Alfa Romeo could be preparing a concept car to preview its future C-segment SUV. Another possibility would be much more symbolic: a sneak peek at the future Giulietta, whose return would undoubtedly be a major event for the brand.
But there’s a third possibility worth keeping an eye on as well. This mysterious model could be a new, highly exclusive creation linked to Bottegafuoriserie. After all, the’Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale was unveiled in 2023, and more than three years will have passed by the time of the Paris trade show.
Unfortunately, the teaser released by Alfa Romeo doesn't provide a clear answer. In it, the brand appears to draw on several spectacular chapters of its history, including the Iguana, Carabo, and Nuvola. Three very different concept cars from different eras, which do not allow for an obvious connection to the new model.
Perhaps that is precisely the message: rather than directly announcing a production model, Alfa Romeo may want to revive this tradition of spectacular concept cars in which designers have almost complete freedom.
See you on October 12
The mystery won’t last much longer now. Alfa Romeo will unveil its new concept car on Monday, October 12, at 10:55 a.m., in Hall 4 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. The vehicle will then remain on display for the duration of the Paris Motor Show, through October 18. Until then, Alfa Romeo is giving us only a few images, some historical references, and a particularly intriguing promise: that of a car designed for those who still truly love to drive.
