27 years after the first model, a very wealthy customer orders a customized Pagani Zonda... and the brand accepts.

While most supercars disappear within a few years of the end of their production run, the Pagani Zonda continues to defy time. Twenty-seven years after the very first model was unveiled at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show, a wealthy customer has achieved the unthinkable: convincing the world to buy one. Pagani to produce a new, totally customized Zonda. And the Italian brand agreed.

The result is the Pagani Zonda Cervino, a unique model that will be officially presented at the Villa d'Este 2026 Concours d'Elegance on the shores of Lake Como. Further proof that at Pagani, the Zonda is not just an old hypercar: it's a living work of art.

A hypercar born in 1999... still made in 2026

When Horacio Pagani unveiled the Zonda in the late 1990s, no one imagined that the model would become a legend capable of spanning the decades without ever losing its aura. Designed around an atmospheric AMG V12, with a carbon structure and a level of customization unheard of at the time, the Zonda quickly acquired an almost mythical status.

Officially, production was to remain limited. But over the years, Pagani has continued to meet the demands of extremely wealthy collectors, giving rise to a long series of unique models, often developed from existing chassis. The new Zonda Cervino is precisely in line with this philosophy. According to Pagani, it is a complete reinterpretation of an existing Zonda, created as part of the “Unico” program, the most exclusive department of the San Cesario sul Panaro workshop.

The Zonda Cervino, a multi-million-dollar custom order

This new creation would be based on a Zonda Oliver Evolution Roadster, extensively transformed at the request of its owner. Externally, the car immediately retains the iconic Zonda silhouette, but many details have been revised.

The bodywork is finished in a two-tone combination of metallic blue and exposed carbon fiber. The customer also requested several specific aesthetic modifications, including new, more classic round taillights, replacing the Zonda R-inspired elements, and a redesigned rear spoiler, less aggressive than that of the Oliver Evolution model.

The interior has also been completely reworked. Pagani calls to mind an interior dressed in blue and white leather with blue checkerboard patterns on the seats, while the instrumentation picks up the same colorful theme. As always with Pagani, every detail seems to have been thought out like a timepiece. The Italian manufacturer has yet to give precise technical specifications, but all indications are that this Zonda Cervino retains the naturally-aspirated AMG V12 in its most powerful configuration... probably over 750 hp.

The Zonda Cervino proves that despite the arrival of the Huayra then the’Utopia, The Zonda remains Pagani's most iconic model. Few cars in the world can afford to still be ordered almost three decades after their launch. And as long as customers are prepared to invest several million euros to obtain a one-of-a-kind Zonda, it seems obvious that Pagani will continue to build them.
