Maserati: + 166 % in France, registrations kick off in January 2024!

The brand Maserati is entering a decisive year, and registrations in France, as well as in other countries (to come), will be closely monitored. After the confirmation of the brand's strategy to become the leading 100 % electric luxury brandand the postponement of the two future models, Levante for 2027 and Quattroporte for 2028, the Trident brand will have to fill the order forms with the MC20, the Grecale Folgore and the Granturismo / Grancabrio Folgore.

Concerning registrations in France, the figures are in. They are as follows 8 Maseratis registered in January 2024. This is an increase of + 166 % compared with January 2023. French dealerships are rubbing their hands.

It will be interesting to see whether the controls of the Grecale Folgore will improve figures over the coming months (not counting demonstration vehicles), unless the electric Macan takes the wind out of its sails?

As stated in the introduction, In our opinion, 2024 will be a decisive year.. If not, it will be a long, long time before the first Maserati model arrives on the market. the new STLA Large platform from Stellantis. Keep in mind that, despite the brand's official statement that it wants to make 100 % electric cars, the new platforms are designed for both electric and internal combustion engines, and a Plan B is always possible.

      • No, I wasn't thinking about that, but about the fact that it's a pity Maserati doesn't break down sales between a combustion engine and an electric one, which would show the preference between the two engines and whether, once again, the hybrid wouldn't double the sales figure.

      • I wasn't thinking about that because, yes, sales are low, but rather the difference between one and the other, quite simply.

  1. Ah yes, it's off to a strong start, and the others are trembling! .... Seriously, I think you're being ironic, but it makes me sad to see prestigious Italian brands like Alfa and Maserati dying a slow death, not to mention Lancia, which is in the doldrums, and Fiat, which is rebadging Peugeots and Citroens!

    • You see it like that because you're in France 🇫🇷 but in Switzerland 🇨🇭 we see them very often and even in Haute Savoie, especially Alfa Romeos and Maseratis, but what we're seeing less and less of are the latest Peugeots. We see Citroëns, but not DS, Peugeot or Opel, so it depends on where you live.

  2. 8 is better than 3 cars sold, but it's still a pittance.
France is a very small market for Maserati, which makes you wonder why the brand is still there.
