He wanted to surprise a bride and groom with a Lamborghini... the police intercepted it before it arrived at the ceremony

Giving the gift of an Italian supercar for a wedding could hardly be more spectacular. In Birmingham, UK, however, a close friend of the bride and groom had thought of the big picture: a Lamborghini Huracán Performante Spyder turquoise blue was to arrive in procession to create the “wow” effect at the time of the ceremony. Everything was in place for a memorable entrance. The convoy set off, the dream car in the lead, a symbol of luxury and celebration. But just a few kilometers from the wedding venue, everything changed.

Police break up procession

The procession is intercepted by the local police, who decide to check the vehicle. The initial reason may seem almost insignificant: the absence of a license plate on the front. In a festive context such as a wedding, many would have imagined a certain tolerance. However, the officers don't stop there and carry out a complete check of the vehicle. The surprise was total: the Lamborghini was neither registered... nor insured.

A Lamborghini immobilized... and a surprise ruined

Immediate result: the supercar was seized on the spot and sent to the pound. The famous spectacular arrival never took place. As for the bride and groom, they'll have to make do without this extraordinary gift. On social networks, Sparkbrook police ironized the situation with a message that has gone viral:

Lesson of the day: the driver didn't say «yes» when asked if he wanted to take out insurance.

A humorous way of reminding us that even in a moment as special as a wedding, the law remains the same for everyone. What was supposed to be an unforgettable moment turned into an anecdote... certainly memorable, but not for the right reasons. This Lamborghini never heard the famous “yes” from the bride and groom.
