Alfa Romeo has created four home fragrances, including one that smells like gasoline and tires

What if we could recapture the scent of a Alfa Romeo in a bottle? At the Paris Motor Show, the Italian brand is unveiling four fragrances inspired by its world. Among them, one fragrance evokes the leather of a new car, while another brings to mind the smells of gasoline and rubber found on a racetrack. We got to discover them—and, most importantly, smell them!

An unexpected discovery at the Alfa Romeo booth

Yesterday, during my visit to the Paris Motor Show, I stopped by the Alfa Romeo booth to check out, among other things, the new Alfa Romeo CuoreRosso concept. But another surprise was waiting for me a little further on.

I was invited to visit the Alfa Romeo Bottega, a space dedicated to customization and Italian craftsmanship. There, you can explore leather samples, various carbon fiber finishes, and different body colors. But amid all these materials, one thing in particular caught my attention: perfumes! And not just any perfumes—Alfa Romeo has created four fragrances directly inspired by its automotive DNA.

Guida, Pista, Bottega, and CuoreRosso: Four Ways to Experience Alfa Romeo

Named Guida, Pista, Bottega, and CuoreRosso, each of these four creations offers a different olfactory experience.

Guida celebrates the joy of driving—that special feeling you get behind the wheel of an Alfa Romeo, when the car seems to become one with the driver.

CuoreRosso, for its part, embodies the Italian brand’s deep passion, its spirit, and the emotion that has always accompanied the Biscione’s creations. But the two fragrances that made the biggest impression on me are undoubtedly Bottega and Pista.

Bottega: The scent of a new Italian car

My favorite of the four? Without a doubt, Bottega ! This fragrance pays tribute to Italian artisanal craftsmanship, fine materials, and the meticulous work of artisans. And you can tell right away.

If you love the smell of a new car—and especially that of an interior upholstered in new leather—you’ll probably enjoy this fragrance. It captures that unique atmosphere that comes with discovering a beautiful Italian car. It’s subtle, pleasant, and quite surprising to find in a home fragrance.

Pista, a fragrance that smells like gasoline and tires!

The other surprising discovery is Pista. The name says it all: off to the racetracks!

Alfa Romeo explains that it wanted to capture the adrenaline of racing, the tension of a start, and the thrill of speed. And when it comes to the scent, the experience is truly intriguing. I detected something reminiscent of tire rubber and gasoline, just like when you’re in the paddocks at a racetrack. Don’t worry—it doesn’t smell like a gas station! All four fragrances are pleasant, and these automotive notes remain more in the background.

Will there soon be an Alfa Romeo fragrance in your garage?

These four creations are presented as home fragrances, available as reed diffusers and spray bottles. For now, I don’t know if Alfa Romeo plans to market them one day. But the idea is particularly appealing: extending the Alfa Romeo experience beyond driving, right into the scents that accompany our passion for cars. And you have to admit, there would be something quite unusual about spraying a little Pista into the cabin of an electric Alfa Romeo!
