Totem Automobili continues to make the hearts of Italian car enthusiasts beat faster. After the Artemide, Hestia, Iperia, Jarama, MarinellaPersephone and Tyche, the handcrafted Venetian brand unveils its latest creation: the Totem GT Super Farina. An Alfa Romeo Giulia GT reinterpreted with extreme refinement, an exceptional engine and looks to make any modern car blush.
A tribute to the Italian beauty of the '70s

Presented at the Concours d'Elegance at Villa La Massa, near Florence, the GT Super Farina is inspired by the charm of Italian sports cars of the 70s. Its name, "Farina", is the customer's personal tribute to tradition and timeless beauty.

Its "Luci del Bosco" color, a deep, warm metallic brown, captures the Tuscan light like a living painting. Gold-plated wheels, satin nickel detailing and satin-finish carbon fiber applied with care to the bodywork and interior confirm the excellence of Totem's craftsmanship. Every curve, every surface has been conceived as a modern work of art rooted in Alfa Romeo heritage.

Haute couture interior
Inside, the tone is set: ivory Nappa leather, Alcantara, CNC-machined aluminum and stainless steel parts, and a new backlit control panel. The wooden gearshift lever, set on a polished steel grille, symbolizes the alliance between tradition and modernity. You'd think you were in an Alfa Romeo restored by Singer... but in Italian style.

The V6 engine still from Italtecnica
Under the hood, Totem doesn't go for nostalgia. In collaboration with Italtecnica (which also manufactures Kimera, Giamaro or even the last Vittori Turbio), the manufacturer has developed a 2.8-liter twin-turbo V6 with direct and indirect injection, weighing less than 180 kg. This engine delivers 640 hp and 655 Nm of torque to the rear wheels, combined with a manual gearbox. The result is a 0-100 km/h time of 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 240 km/h. Impressive figures for a classic-looking car.

And to complete the experience, the electronic suspension can be adjusted directly from the cockpit, allowing drivers to adapt the car to their mood or the road.

A rare and exclusive masterpiece
Only 40 examples of this GT Super Farina will see the light of day. Each one will be hand-built in the Totem Automobili workshops in Treviso. And the price? From €539,000 (€625,000 $). An elitist price, to be sure, but justified by a level of personalization, finish and passion that few brands are yet able to offer. Totem likes to say that the GT Super is "the Italian Gran Turismo that never was".

Superb, but it's missing the Alfa Romeo logo, and it's not an Alfa engine. So it's not really an Alfa Romeo, but a car based on the lines of the Giulia Coupé.
Are we really sure that the engine isn't the one used in the Giulia Quadrifoglio, the V6 2.9 Biturbo, reworked by Italtecnica?
Yes, we're really sure: ""ITV6" engine 100% engineered by the Italtecnica R&D Team". After all, it's their job to make engines ^^.
I say this because, from memory, Totem's first Giulia was powered by the Alfa V6.
Indeed, I read that in one of our articles... oops! And it's disturbing, because the 740hp 3.2L V6 is developed by Italtecnica, and the engine is called ITV62 - Gloria SP. Yet it's a 90° V6 like the one in the Giulia Quadrifoglio. It's confusing, but according to the videos they share, they're the ones who machine their engines.
