A few days after Ferrari and its 296 GT3 Evonow it's the turn of Lamborghini to unleash its new racing weapon. Introducing the Temerario GT3, a racing beast born in Sant'Agata Bolognese, designed from the very first sketch for competition. And if Lamborghini is to be believed, this new GT3 is destined to become "a benchmark for competitors.
A first: designed entirely in-house

It's a first for the brand: the Temerario GT3 is the very first racing GT designed, developed and assembled in 100 % by Lamborghini itself. Gone is the Huracán GT3, whose success has been immense (96 championships won, over 200 units sold), replaced by an even more ambitious model, entirely designed for international circuits. The GT3 will arrive in 2026, with its first test run scheduled for the legendary 12 Hours of Sebring.
Carbon, a modified chassis and a raging V8

Beneath its carbon composite exterior designed by Centro Stile and Squadra Corse, the Temerario GT3 uses the aluminum spaceframe chassis of the road version, modified for racing. The front and rear subframes have been redesigned to facilitate on-track operations. An FIA GT3-approved roll bar is integrated into the heart of the structure.

The engine? A reworked 4.0 twin-turbo V8. Forget the hybridization of the road version: GT3 regulations require pure combustion. The result is an engine delivering around 550 hp, with turbos and a tailor-made exhaust system by Capristo. It is mated to a six-speed transverse sequential gearbox.

Precision aerodynamics
In terms of aerodynamics, every part has been designed to offer an optimum balance between downforce and drag, even in extreme conditions (rain, night, high heat). The floor is cut into several segments to simplify quick repairs. The rear diffuser and engine cowling can be removed in seconds. Even the headlamps feature quick-release connectors!

The air intake, radiators and airflow have been redesigned to cool the engine efficiently, especially the turbos, which must now handle the temperature rise on their own, without the help of the hybrid system.
The interior for pilots
The interior was designed in close collaboration with in-house drivers Marco Mapelli and Andrea Caldarelli. The result: optimized ergonomics, a new bespoke steering wheel and a completely redesigned electronic interface offering more control, more info, more feel. The Lamborghini DNA is there, but in a 100 % track version.
A new era for Lamborghini in competition

Lamborghini makes no secret of its ambitions. The Temerario GT3 is not simply a replacement for the Huracán GT3, but a strategic turning point for the brand, which now wants to design its racing cars right from the genesis of its road models.
As Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann stated:
"The Temerario GT3 embodies our commitment to motorsport. It was conceived as a benchmark for its competitors, right from the start of the Temerario project."
With this new GT3, Lamborghini confirms its intention to dominate the world GT3 scene, while offering its customer teams a car that is both high-performance, reliable and quick to maintain.
Opposite the recently unveiled Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo, the Temerario GT3 confirms that the battle between the two Italian brands has only just begun. Ferrari is betting on evolution with a 600hp V6, while Lamborghini is fully embracing its 550hp V8. Two visions, one goal: to dominate the GT3 circuits in 2026 and beyond.
