178 Lamborghinis to be auctioned off soon to pay off a large debt

This auction is likely to attract the attention of collectors, investors, and other car enthusiasts from around the world. Following the bankruptcy of Location John Scotti, a Montreal-based company specializing in the rental of luxury and rare vehicles, a portfolio of more than 750 vehicles will be put up for sale to repay a debt exceeding $90 million.

Amid this impressive fleet, one number stands out in particular: 178 Lamborghini are included in the sale. A concentration of supercars rarely seen in a single auction.

Debt of 90 million from Q1 to Q4

On April 1, 2026, the Superior Court of Quebec placed Location John Scotti under receivership and assigned the case to Deloitte, which was tasked with taking control of the assets and organizing their sale. According to several Canadian media outlets, the company owes more than $90 million to the Bank of Montreal.

In the course of its analysis, Deloitte reportedly also uncovered several irregularities, including vehicles sold without authorization, unexplained transfers of funds, and even a case of a Bugatti Chiron being leased despite information deemed incomplete. To maximize value, the firm therefore initiated a sales process covering the company’s entire automotive portfolio.

A real treasure for Lamborghini enthusiasts

While the fleet includes many prestigious brands, Lamborghini clearly dominates the scene. Sales records show that there are 178 models from the Italian brand, by far the largest share of the portfolio.

Among them are, in particular, 81 Huracán, 63 Urus, 16 Aventador and 10 Revuelto. The ten Lamborghini Revueltos alone are potentially worth several million euros. As for the Huracán and Urus, they remain among the most sought-after Lamborghinis on the recent used car market. This exceptional concentration can be explained by the business model of Location John Scotti, which specialized in long-term rentals of exotic vehicles to affluent clients in Quebec and Ontario.

Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, Porsche: An Extraordinary Catalog

Lamborghinis, however, are only part of the story. The portfolio also includes 18 Ferraris, 13 Rolls-Royces, 12 Lotuses, and 5 Bentleys. In terms of premium brands, there are also 76 Mercedes-Benz, 61 Porsche, 43 Land Rover, 38 Audi, and 21 BMW. Even more mainstream models are well-represented, with 57 Ford, 25 Chevrolet, 24 RAM, 17 General Motors vehicles, and 15 Dodge.

In total, this portfolio comprises more than 750 vehicles, nearly 68% of which fall into the luxury or exotic categories. About 85% of them are currently under lease, which makes them even more attractive to potential buyers since these vehicles are already generating revenue.

According to Deloitte, one of the key strengths of this portfolio lies in its significant number of rare vehicles or those produced in limited quantities. The firm notes that these types of cars generally hold their value better and depreciate less than traditional vehicles. The question now is who will get their hands on this impressive automotive treasure trove.
