Fiat Grande Panda: entry-level models better equipped in France than in other countries for the same price?

During configuration tests of the new Fiat Grande PandaAn interesting finding emerged: the entry-level "Pop" version seems to be better equipped in France than elsewhere, while remaining at the same price. This difference in equipment, present only on the combustion-hybrid version, is surprising.

A comparison of Fiat Grande Panda configurations in different European countries reveals some notable disparities. In fact, the "Pop" combustion-hybrid version available in France benefits from equipment not available in other markets, without any increase in price. Here's what sets the French version apart from the others:

  • 10″ touchscreen with Uconnect
  • LED front lights
  • LED tail lights
  • Hubcaps

By comparing the price of the Fiat Grande Panda "Pop" in France with that of neighboring countries, we can see that this additional equipment is offered at the same or even slightly lower price. Here's the price table for the Fiat Grande Panda hybrid in entry-level trim in several countries:

CountryPriceTouch screen
France18 900 €Yes
Spain18 950 €No
Germany18 990 €No
Italy18 900 €No
Belgium18 890 €No
Austria18 990 €No
United Kingdomnot available
Switzerlandnot available

This difference in equipment only applies to the hybrid version of the Fiat Grande Panda. For the electric version, the equipment is the same in all countries. This version also includes a touch screen and LED lights, but without the additions specific to the combustion-hybrid version in France.

Given these differences, we contacted Fiat France to find out more. The brand's aim could be to enhance the model's appeal in France with additional equipment, while maintaining a competitive price compared with equivalent cars in France. It is also possible that Fiat seeks to adapt its offer to local demand, taking into account the preferences of French consumers. We look forward to hearing more from Fiat France, and will keep you posted!

    • Will there be a 4×4 model of the big panda and is it offered with an auto gearbox on the hybrid version? Another question: is there a version with heated seats?

  1. Bonjour, c'est 1 histoire pas drôle : elle arrive en concession 5 mois (!) après son clone( la citron e-c3 elle aussi fabriqué en Europe de l'est), et le délai de fabrication est de 5 mois !!!
Strange strategy from Stelantis: on the other hand, the Chinese t03 city car is already in France (I had already seen one in 2023, and as luck would have it, it was 1 fiat dealership, so Stelantis that offered this model in Aubagne)... perhaps a deal between the 2 companies...

    • I owned a mk2 Panda classic for 10yrs, great little car. I always thought the Panda should have been bigger, looks like someone agreed! I welcome this new model, look forward to seeing one whenever they come to UK shores!
