Zlatan Ibrahimović likes to cover his tracks. The former soccer star, known as much for his spectacular goals as for his taste for exceptional cars, posted a photo on Instagram a few days ago that is causing quite a stir. In it, he can be seen alongside Flavio Manzoni, the head of design Ferrarireceiving an autographed drawing... of the brand new Ferrari F80. In the caption, Zlatan wrote: "@Ferrari you are in good hands @flaviomanzoni. @Ferrari you are in good hands @flaviomanzoni". Ferrari replied: "A perfect match.
Speculation is rife: could Ibrahimović have reserved one of the 799 units of the Ferrari F80, the most powerful hypercar ever produced in Maranello?

A familiar ritual: a birthday present on four wheels
The Swede, who turns 44 on October 3, has made a habit of buying Ferraris as birthday presents. Over the years, his garage has been home to some exceptional pieces: LaFerrari, Daytona SP3, Monza SP2, SF90 Spider, 812 Competizione A, SF90 XX Spider and even the Purosangue SUV. Suffice to say, the prancing horse brand holds no secrets for him.
So, why not the F80 to mark the occasion this year? The timing, his visit to Maranello and his friendly exchange with Flavio Manzoni seem to point in that direction.
Ferrari F80: the successor hypercar to LaFerrari

Presented in October 2024, the Ferrari F80 embodies the new technological pinnacle of the Italian marque. Produced in 799 examples between 2025 and 2027, at a unit price of around 3.6 million euros, it is the successor to LaFerrari and follows in the mythical line of Ferrari supercars: 288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo, LaFerrari.
Beneath its Flavio Manzoni-sculpted design, conceived as much for aerodynamics as for visual emotion, the F80 hides a brand-new powertrain. Gone is the V12, replaced by a V6 3.0 twin-turbo hybrid derived from the 499P that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans. With the support of three electric motors, combined power reaches 1,200 hp. The result: 0 to 100 km/h in 2.1 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 5.7 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h. These figures take the F80 into another dimension, far ahead of the LaFerrari, with a record time of 1'15''30 on the Fiorano track.
Zlatan and Ferrari: a continuing love affair?
Although nothing has been officially confirmed, everything suggests that Zlatan already has his name on the ultra-selective list of 799 lucky owners. And knowing his taste for unique Ferraris, it wouldn't be surprising to soon see the F80 join his impressive collection. After all, Zlatan has never hidden his love of Ferraris: "When I play soccer, I'm a lion. When I drive, I'm a cavalino rampante", he humorously confided a few years ago.
