Lancia Delta

The Lancia Delta is one of the most emblematic models in Italian automotive history. Produced between 1979 and 1995, this compact car designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro left a lasting mark on Lancia's image, not least thanks to its outstanding success in rallying.

Launched in 1979, the Delta is an elegant, well-equipped compact car. It won the title of Car of the Year 1980 in Europe. But it was not until the second half of the '80s that the Delta became a legend, with the HF 4WD and then HF Integrale versions dominating the World Rally Championship.

With 6 consecutive manufacturers' titles in the WRC (1987 to 1992), the Delta became the most successful rally car in history. Today, the Integrale road versions are cult models.

Production ceased in 1995, well after the launch of the Lancia Delta II, in order to prolong the success of the sporty versions.

Delta S4 (Group B)

The Lancia Delta S4 is a radical version developed for Group B of the World Rally Championship in the 1980s. Despite its name, it was not directly derived from the production Delta, but from a prototype designed specifically for competition. Launched in 1985, the Delta S4 adopts an extreme architecture with a rear mid-engine and all-wheel drive. Its main distinguishing feature was its dual supercharger/turbo system, a highly advanced technology for its time.

In order to homologate the car in Group B, Lancia produced around 200 examples of the Delta S4 Stradale: 250 hp, all-wheel drive, a very rare and sought-after version today.
