Ferrari Dino 246

The Dino 246, introduced in 1969, is one of the most important cars in Ferrari history. Marketed under the Dino name in homage to Alfredo Ferrari, it introduced the rear mid-mounted V6 engine in a road car produced in significant volume. It succeeded the Dino 206 GT and inaugurated an architecture that was to become the basis of modern V8 Ferraris (308, 328, 348...). The 246 was available in two main variants: GT (coupé) and GTS (targa).
