Ferrari 208

The Ferrari 208 is a special model in the history of the brand. Developed primarily for the Italian market, it met a very specific tax requirement: to avoid the surtax applied to cars with a displacement of over 2.0 liters in the 1970s and 1980s. To achieve this, Ferrari adapted its V8 to a displacement of 1991 cm³, giving rise to a complete range of 2-liter V8 Ferraris, available in GT4, GTB and GTS versions. While performance was inferior to that of contemporary 308s, the 208 retained Ferrari's chassis, styling and architecture, with an exclusivity that is highly sought-after today.
