Valtteri Bottas, now a test driver and reserve driver for Mercedes F1 in 2025, was spotted this late July in the streets of Monaco at the wheel of his precious Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale. A rare moment for car enthusiasts, as only 33 examples of this exceptional model were ever produced.

A career marked by a spell with Alfa Romeo

As a reminder, the Finnish driver made his Formula 1 debut with Williams between 2013 and 2016 (77 starts), before joining Mercedes from 2017 to 2021, where he scored ten victories. From 2022 to 2023, he drove for Alfa Romeo (renamed Kick Sauber in 2024) before not being retained at the end of the season. In 2025, Bottas returns to Mercedes in a test-driver role, but he hasn't cut his ties with Alfa Romeo.

Passionate collector

Bottas already owns a Mercedes AMG One and an Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm, but it's his special relationship with the 33 Stradale that's the talk of the town. In December 2024, we learned that he had had the honor drive the 00 prototype used to develop the Italian supercar. This unique model proved itself during impressive tests: 333 km/h reached at Nardò and dynamic performance fine-tuned on the Balocco track.

In February 2025, Alfa Romeo officially confirmed that Bottas was one of only 33 owners of the 33 Stradalealongside Japan's Noriaki Uchinino and America's Glynn Bloomquist. This "Club 33" now brings together some of the world's most envied collectors.

At the end of July 2025, Bottas was caught leaving his Monegasque parking lot and driving through the streets of the Principality in his very own Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale. The car features the model's iconic red hue, but with a little personalization: black and gold wheels that contrast with those of the base model.

Enthusiasts of the Milanese brand were delighted to see one of Club 33's members taking full advantage of his Alfa Romeo in such a prestigious setting as Monaco. A reminder that, despite its exclusivity and estimated value in the millions of euros, the 33 Stradale is above all a car made to be driven.
