L'Alfa Romeo Giulietta, produced between 2010 and 2020, benefited from a Quadrifoglio Verde version, equipped with a 235 hp 4-cylinder TBi, then 240 hp with the TCT gearbox. Unfortunately, the Italian beauty didn't generate the same enthusiasm as the older QVs, which had more temperament on the road and, above all, were equipped with the fabulous Busso V6. Be that as it may, the Giulietta was not offered a GTA version, as was the case with its predecessor, the 147, and could not really compete with rivals such as the Golf GTi, the Mégane RS or the Focus RS.
Giulia GTAm aerodynamic kit
Never mind, tuners are there to grant wishes and realize fantasies that manufacturers, bound by economic demands, sometimes fail to realize. The Italians from D.B ECU service, who have already worked on a 450hp Abarth 695, have this time concocted a "Giulietta GTAm", which attempts to marry the Giulietta with elements of the modern Giulia GTAm. As a result, the compact sedan has been extensively modified, both aesthetically and mechanically.

The Giulietta receives a special kit that includes, on the front, the large Scudetto and the entire radical bumper of the Giulia GTAm with its carbon fins and flaps, as well as various carbon inserts on the hood, a carbon tailgate spoiler, side skirts similar to those of the Giulia GTAm, gold wheels, 330MM Brembo brakes and a foam diffuser with a refocused double exhaust tailpipe.

Supertourism atmosphere inside
The interior has also been customized, with carbon elements (dashboard, center console), a red-handled racing-style gearshift, an infotainment screen with steering-wheel-mounted controls, and above all, on the passenger side, a series of three gauges, facing the driver, which provide various technical information such as turbo boost level and temperatures.

The Giulietta has also become a two-seater, as the rear section of the passenger compartment has been transformed for racing with the installation of a competition-style roll-cage.

A transformed 1.4 TJET engine
The mechanical part has nothing to do with it either. So, the name GTAm could be misleading, as the Giulietta does not feature the Giulia GTAm's 2.9L twin-turbo V6. Instead, the car is based on a 4-cylinder 1.4 TJet producing 120 hp.

Many wondered why the power increase wasn't made from a 1750 TBi, but it was obviously trickier and the 1.4 was more suited to the modifications that were undertaken. The engine received reinforced pistons, a reinforced and lightened flywheel, a large Garrett turbo and a completely revised cooling and fuel system. The result is a monster that delivers 330 hp and 404 Nm of torque.

As for reliability, we don't know. Nor do we know whether the running gear has been modified to handle the 330 hp. A word of clarification: this Giulietta "GTAm" is not approved for the road and can only be used on racetracks.
