In early 2026, the Italian tuning firm Scara73, well known among enthusiasts of’Alfa Romeo, posted a video announcing that he was putting his own 4C up for sale after nearly ten years behind the wheel. During the presentation, he dropped a piece of information that didn’t go unnoticed: one of his customers owns an Alfa Romeo 4C that has now surpassed 429,000 kilometers. This claim was backed up by a short clip showing the car’s odometer, which clearly displays 429,445 km.
A New Record for the Alfa Romeo 4C?
This discovery is all the more remarkable because it far exceeds what was previously considered the benchmark for mileage on a 4C. In 2022, a photo posted on a specialized forum had already caused a stir by revealing an Alfa Romeo 4C with 321,923 kilometers on the odometer. At the time, that figure seemed almost unreal for a sports car produced between 2013 and 2020, equipped with a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis and the 240 ch 1.75 TBi four-cylinder engine mounted in a mid-rear position. With over 429,000 kilometers on the odometer, this particular car takes things to a whole new level.
A sports car that's much sturdier than its reputation suggests
The Alfa Romeo 4C was never designed to rack up hundreds of thousands of kilometers. Its minimalist interior, weight of less than 900 kg, and very direct handling make it, above all, a fun-to-drive car. However, feedback from many owners tells a very different story. On specialized forums, several users who have far exceeded 100,000 kilometers report having needed only routine maintenance or a clutch replacement. Many emphasize, above all, that the car retains the same character and driving pleasure despite the passing years. The model featured in Scara73’s video fits perfectly into this trend.
Nearly 10 years after its debut, seeing an Alfa Romeo 4C pass the 429,000-kilometer mark was simply unimaginable at the time of its launch. From a weekend sports car, it proves that it can also become a surprisingly capable long-distance cruiser. To the best of our knowledge, this is currently the 4C with the highest mileage ever recorded.
