Toby Broome is a British racing driver who competes in the Alfa Romeo & Italian Intermarque Championship in the UK. Having been immersed in the love of the Biscione since childhood, thanks to his father's Alfetta GTV and GTV6, he began motor racing in 1994, then stopped for 28 years, before returning in 2022, becoming one of the best-known drivers in this championship thanks to his performances at the wheel of an Alfa Romeo 147 GTA .
On his return in 2022, he finished 5th in the championship on a 156 TS. In 2023, he finished 3rd in the championship, then switched to the 147 GTA. A good move: in 2024, he became champion and repeated the feat in 2025. In twelve races, he scored 12 victories in his class! Well, it's now possible to buy his machine!

A pure 147 GTA prepared
His Alfa Romeo 147 GTA is entered in the PT Power Trophy class. In this category, cars have a standard power-to-weight ratio of 240 hp per 1,000 kg for naturally-aspirated petrol models, and 228 hp per 1,000 kg for turbocharged diesel and petrol models. Its main rivals are the 156, 75 and 155. While the car is lightened, fitted with a roll bar, racing suspension, reinforced brakes and slick tires, the Busso V6 is in its element, without extreme modification, otherwise the car would obviously be classified as “Modified”.

Since driving the 147 GTA, Toby Broome has scored numerous class wins, overall victories and class lap records at British circuits such as Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Oulton Park and Snetterton. Last year, he won his class at Snetterton and finished 2nd overall, behind Barry McMahon's Giulia QV, but ahead of other, more powerful modified Alfas.

A 147 for sale, and a formidable new weapon!
Toby Broome is known as a very consistent and technical driver. Working in the IT and data sectors, he uses data analysis to improve his performance and car set-up. His driving style is clean and efficient, particularly on corner exits, which is very important with a powerful front-wheel-drive car like the 147 GTA.

Reigning double champion in 2024 and 2025, Toby Broome has put his 147 GTA up for sale for £17,000, or around €18,500. The ad specifies that the engine was rebuilt in October 2025, used only for two races. The 147 GTA is sold with 18-inch wheels and two sets of rain tires, more than enough for one season. One hell of a bargain!
What's Toby Broome up to? No, he hasn't hung up his gloves - quite the contrary. In 2026, he's moving up a class to the “Modified” class, with a new 4C prepared by Revs Italia, which promises to be very mean! A few videos leaked during pre-season testing, revealing a beautiful tricolor livery and extensive aerodynamic work. We can't wait to see the details of the mechanical preparation!
