Dahas\u0131, d\u00f6rt tekerlekten \u00e7eki\u015fin olmamas\u0131, Grup B kategorisinin h\u0131zla geli\u015fti\u011fi bir d\u00f6nemde, baz\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131n otomobilin performans\u0131n\u0131n s\u0131n\u0131rl\u0131 kalaca\u011f\u0131ndan ve asfalt yar\u0131\u015flar\u0131yla s\u0131n\u0131rl\u0131 kalaca\u011f\u0131ndan korkmas\u0131na neden oldu. 1986'da Grup B'nin erken sona ermesi ve o zamana kadar devlet kontrol\u00fcnde olan Alfa Romeo'nun rallide Lancia'ya \u00f6ncelik veren FIAT'a sat\u0131lmas\u0131, t\u00fcm spek\u00fclasyonlara kesin bir son verdi.
