O seu t\u00edtulo: \u00abA hist\u00f3ria secreta do Lamborghini Miura II\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para um entusiasta de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/pt\/lamborghini\/\">Lamborghini<\/a>, \u00c9 dif\u00edcil ficar indiferente. O Miura \u00e9 um dos carros mais lend\u00e1rios da hist\u00f3ria da marca. No entanto, nunca tinha ouvido falar de um projeto chamado Miura II. Foi o suficiente para despertar a minha curiosidade. Por isso, entrei em contacto com a revista para saber mais e pedi autoriza\u00e7\u00e3o para partilhar a hist\u00f3ria na Italpassion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A sua rea\u00e7\u00e3o foi t\u00e3o simp\u00e1tica quanto inesperada:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><svg aria-hidden=\"true\" focusable=\"false\" class=\"icon icon-quote\" width=\"48\" height=\"48\"><use xlink:href=\"#icon-quote\"><\/use><\/svg>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00abPensamos que a melhor solu\u00e7\u00e3o seria enviar-vos uma c\u00f3pia impressa da revista para que possam publicar fotografias do artigo. Isto mostra que se trata efetivamente de um conte\u00fado publicado numa revista, evitando revelar toda a hist\u00f3ria. \u00c9 uma situa\u00e7\u00e3o em que todos ganham.\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Algumas semanas mais tarde, a revista chegou-me \u00e0 caixa do correio. E a hist\u00f3ria merece, de facto, ser contada. Nessa altura, a Lamborghini ainda n\u00e3o era a marca florescente que conhecemos hoje. O seu modelo de entrada de gama era o <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/pt\/carros\/lamborghini-jalpa\/\">Jalpa<\/a>, O Jalpa foi um autom\u00f3vel desportivo com motor central V8 vendido de 1981 a 1988. Apesar das suas qualidades, o Jalpa nunca alcan\u00e7ou o sucesso que se esperava. Em oito anos de produ\u00e7\u00e3o, foram vendidos apenas 410 exemplares. O seu nome de c\u00f3digo era P140. O objetivo era claro: desenvolver um Lamborghini que fosse mais compacto, mais acess\u00edvel e capaz de atrair uma base de clientes mais ampla do que o Countach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">O projeto LP140, apelidado de \u00abMiura II\u00bb<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c9 aqui que a hist\u00f3ria se torna emocionante. De acordo com as informa\u00e7\u00f5es recolhidas pelo <em>O rato de estrada<\/em> Com Tom Gale, antigo Vice-Presidente de Design da Chrysler, as equipas americanas fizeram mais do que simplesmente supervisionar o projeto. Decidiram participar diretamente no seu desenvolvimento estil\u00edstico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A n\u00edvel interno, a Chrysler chegou mesmo a criar um nome de trabalho particularmente ambicioso: Miura II. A ideia era simples, mas ousada: criar um novo Lamborghini com motor central capaz de assumir o papel hist\u00f3rico do Miura como um supercarro mais acess\u00edvel do que o modelo principal da gama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">V\u00e1rios designers da Chrysler foram convidados a trabalhar no assunto fora do hor\u00e1rio de expediente. Na altura, as mesmas equipas estavam a revolucionar o mercado americano com os MPVs da Chrysler... Tom Gale explica no artigo que n\u00e3o ficou totalmente convencido com as propostas italianas iniciais e quis abrir o concurso a jovens designers americanos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Uma batalha de estilos entre a Chrysler, Bertone e Gandini<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As fotografias publicadas na revista mostram um epis\u00f3dio praticamente desconhecido da hist\u00f3ria da Lamborghini. A vers\u00e3o B, que pode ser vista em v\u00e1rias fotografias, apresenta um estilo t\u00edpico da \u00e9poca, com um perfil extremamente baixo, sali\u00eancias reduzidas e linhas fluidas. De acordo com o artigo, alguns prot\u00f3tipos do P140 estavam equipados com um V10 de 4,0 litros que produzia cerca de 362 cv. Se considerarmos que o Gallardo, lan\u00e7ado apenas em 2003, seria o primeiro Lamborghini moderno a democratizar o motor V10 dentro da gama, n\u00e3o podemos deixar de pensar no que poderia ter acontecido a este projeto se lhe tivesse sido dada luz verde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Porque \u00e9 que o projeto foi abandonado?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apesar dos investimentos feitos, o projeto nunca chegou a ser concretizado. O pr\u00f3prio Tom Gale admite que n\u00e3o se lembra de todas as raz\u00f5es, mas v\u00e1rios factores parecem ter funcionado contra o P140.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A recess\u00e3o do in\u00edcio dos anos 90, as vendas decepcionantes do <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/pt\/carros\/lamborghini-diablo\/\">Diablo<\/a> e as dificuldades financeiras cr\u00f3nicas da Lamborghini ter\u00e3o provavelmente diminu\u00eddo as ambi\u00e7\u00f5es da Chrysler. No final, o construtor americano apenas foi propriet\u00e1rio da Lamborghini durante sete anos, antes de vender a marca ao grupo indon\u00e9sio MegaTech em 1994. O projeto P140 sobreviveu durante algum tempo sob v\u00e1rias formas, mas as vers\u00f5es apresentadas neste concurso de design desapareceram gradualmente do radar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">E se este Miura II tivesse existido?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Antes do Urus, o Lamborghini mais vendido da hist\u00f3ria era o Hurac\u00e1n. Antes do Hurac\u00e1n, o Gallardo j\u00e1 tinha demonstrado que um Lamborghini mais compacto e acess\u00edvel podia tornar-se num enorme sucesso comercial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Por isso, temos de nos perguntar o que teria acontecido se a Chrysler tivesse avan\u00e7ado com o desenvolvimento deste \u00abMiura II\u00bb no in\u00edcio da d\u00e9cada de 1990. Teria a Lamborghini lan\u00e7ado o seu primeiro V10 de produ\u00e7\u00e3o mais de dez anos antes do Gallardo?
