Restaurar um <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/pt\/carros\/ferrari-512\/\">Ferrari 512 BBi<\/a> abandonado, motor removido, carro\u00e7aria em constru\u00e7\u00e3o e pe\u00e7as raras a serem encontradas, isso \u00e9 outra coisa. Mas nesta \u00faltima fase do projeto do famoso Youtuber <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/pt\/etiqueta\/ratarossa\/\">Ratarossa<\/a>, O problema n\u00e3o foi uma quebra misteriosa ou um defeito oculto descoberto ap\u00f3s a desmontagem. O problema resulta de um erro simples, quase banal, que o pr\u00f3prio propriet\u00e1rio admite: ter armazenado incorretamente o motor V12. E, num Ferrari 512 BBi, este tipo de erro pode rapidamente fazer disparar a fatura para v\u00e1rios milhares de euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Um V12 que nunca voltou a arrancar desde o salvamento<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Quando este Ferrari 512 BBi abandonado foi recuperado, estava praticamente abandonado numa entrada de garagem. Desde a sua chegada \u00e0 oficina, o seu motor nunca mais voltou a ganhar vida. Uma inspe\u00e7\u00e3o inicial revelou algo preocupante: o cilindro n\u00famero 12 parecia estar muito mais sujo do que os outros onze. O motor tinha at\u00e9 sido limpo por limpeza criog\u00e9nica, dando-lhe um aspeto muito limpo. Mas foi depois desta fase que come\u00e7aram os problemas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">O erro: deixar o motor a trabalhar numa oficina fria<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Depois de desmontar as duas cabe\u00e7as de cilindro, o motor foi deixado numa palete, simplesmente coberto. As cabe\u00e7as de cilindro foram colocadas numa prateleira com um pouco de pel\u00edcula de pl\u00e1stico. Mas, em retrospetiva, o propriet\u00e1rio admite que foi um grande erro. As camisas dos cilindros, expostas \u00e0 humidade e \u00e0s varia\u00e7\u00f5es de temperatura, come\u00e7aram a enferrujar. E n\u00e3o apenas no cilindro n\u00famero 12: ambos os bancos do motor foram afectados. O verdadeiro perigo n\u00e3o \u00e9 a ferrugem superficial. \u00c9 a corros\u00e3o. A impress\u00e3o visual \u00e9 preocupante: as camisas est\u00e3o enferrujadas, algumas zonas parecem marcadas e o cilindro n\u00famero 12 est\u00e1 particularmente sujo. A cabe\u00e7a do cilindro tamb\u00e9m apresentava sinais de oxida\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 volta de algumas v\u00e1lvulas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/moteur-v12-512.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-49883\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/moteur-v12-512.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/moteur-v12-512-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/moteur-v12-512-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/moteur-v12-512-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As imagens foram enviadas para a David Moore Engineering, que j\u00e1 tinha estado envolvida na reconstru\u00e7\u00e3o de outro motor Ferrari. A resposta do especialista foi simples: as camisas teriam de ser removidas, o motor completamente desmontado e depois totalmente inspeccionado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tamb\u00e9m explica o que deveria ter sido feito desde o in\u00edcio: lubrificar as superf\u00edcies ou, pelo menos, proteg\u00ea-las com WD-40, para evitar que a humidade se instale. Numa oficina fria, o simples facto de ligar o aquecedor pode causar condensa\u00e7\u00e3o no metal. E esta condensa\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 suficiente para criar ferrugem. O especialista n\u00e3o condena imediatamente o motor. Existe ainda uma possibilidade: que a ferrugem seja apenas superficial. Neste caso, as camisas podem talvez ser recuperadas ap\u00f3s a limpeza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Um erro dispendioso<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>O pre\u00e7o de uma camisa de cilindro para um Ferrari BB\/BBi d\u00e1 uma ideia imediata da dimens\u00e3o do problema: cerca de 493 libras cada, sem impostos. Multiplicado por doze, o custo j\u00e1 ultrapassa as 7.000 libras (8.000 euros ou 9.500 d\u00f3lares) s\u00f3 para as camisas. Se os pist\u00f5es ainda estiverem dentro dos limites de toler\u00e2ncia e as camisas puderem ser recuperadas, a fatura ficar\u00e1 contida. Se as camisas estiverem gastas mas puderem ser recuperadas, pode ser poss\u00edvel perfur\u00e1-las novamente com pist\u00f5es adequados.
